Story
Huckleberry is a very loyal boy to me. I’ve had him since he was 3mos. He turns 4yo on 05/06/2024. He’s house trained, never gets into things he’s not supposed to, & listens pretty good. Everything with him has been great up until the last year & a half. He’s a good boy but he has developed some anxiety. I used to be able to take him everywhere & he could be around anyone but recently he has started becoming more reactive to strangers (people & animals). He’s the sweetest to myself, my cat, my brother and my mom but just has a hard time with other people. I love this dog to pieces but i unfortunately am unable to care for him how he needs. Huck is in need of some good training & I know he will kick these behavior issues. We currently live in an apartment & it’s not the best for him. It breaks my heart but I know he will have a happier/healthier life in a different home. Huckleberry deserves a family who will love, be patient & get all his energy out! He needs someone with experience!!!

Please visit our website for more information on the adoption process and to complete an adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources This handsome young purebred Border Collie is Scout. Still a youngster, turning 1 year old in April. Scout’s ideal home, as he is a young active pup, should be willing and able to continue exercise and socialization. Scout is described as a “Happy go lucky pup”.  He just wants to play and have fun. Scout is outgoing and sweet. He loves to romp and play chase games with other dogs and will adjust his play style to the size of the other dog. He loves to play fetch. Scout rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash. He knows sit, down, stay and has great recall. He is good with children, preferably over 8 years old because of Scout's energy and other dogs. He is a high energy pup because of his breed and he is still so young. Scout is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. If you would like to meet Scout and give him a permanent loving home, please complete the adoption application below. Story
Hazel and her siblings were owner surrenders from Alabama. The litter was registered with AKC but the individual dogs are not. They spent their life with each other outdoors, they have never been indoors and the world is new to them. Hazel is a fiery and intense little dog. She is all about her person and loves to please. She loves water and has incredible working potential. She is settling in very nicely. We are in need of a foster /foster to adopt for Hazel.. She would do very well in a ranch setting. Great performance potential, her love of water could lead to dock diving potential. SHe is drivy, biddable, listens to you and has great potential on livestock, as well as good eye. She is in need of a person with border collie experience, who knows the breed and can recognize her potentials. This is not a dog for a person who has never had a border before. Currently fostered in the Bradenton area. Housebroken, crate trained and okay with other dogs. Needs more socialization in the big world once used to her new surroundings. Story
Annie is an incredibly sweet border collie mix. She enjoys short walks, and lying in the sun. Due to her age, she does not require much exercise but still enjoys the great outdoors. Annie is treat-motivated, crate-trained, and loves to snack on carrots. She was first adopted from a family with children after they had to move away and has since lived with a single owner who unfortunately can no longer care for her. She's an older girl but loves to play and beg for treats with her paws. Her dream is to retire to her forever home. She gets a little anxious during thunderstorms and prefers to be by your side during them. It took some time for her to warm up to our other female dog but now they play in the yard together and get along fine.

These pups are in St Pete Beach, Florida too!
