Story
Ember is a sweet border collie with the most loyal heart. She's a total velcro dog who'll follow her foster everywhere and just wants to be by your side. She loves her daily walks and car rides, meeting new people and at night she settles down quietly in her bed (or yours if you let her!). What makes Ember special is that she's not your typical high-energy border collie. She's got a calmer, gentler vibe while still being an active, happy girl. She's just learning what toys are and how to play with them, which is pretty adorable to watch. She walks beautifully on leash and gets along well with other dogs and has little to no prey drive. Ember would do best with someone who has border collie experience or is really dog-savvy, since she'll need an owner who understands how much these dogs love their people.

Story
This handsome boy is 3-year-old Moby and he's waiting for you at Satchel's! Moby can be a little shy of strangers but warms up quickly. He enjoys his walks with volunteers, followed by a nice cool down in the kiddie pool while he waits at the gate for his turn to return to his kennel. Moby is full of energy and is currently working with a trainer to learn basic understanding of what is acceptable behavior. Note from a volunteer: "Moby is a darling and very smart. He’s a “back scratch” grass loving boy who prefers water over land any day. He should’ve been a fish 🐠." For an appointment to meet Moby, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found at satchelslastresort.org.

Story
Mia is an 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog who is incredibly sweet, loyal, and full of energy. She loves being with her people and absolutely thrives outdoors, especially at the beach where she can run and swim all day. She is very smart and has so much potential with continued training and structure. Unfortunately, we’ve been struggling with frequent accidents in the home, and we feel she would do best in a new environment that can better support her needs. This hasn’t been an easy decision because she’s such a loving girl. We’re hoping to find her an active home, ideally with someone experienced with high-energy breeds, who can give her the time and lifestyle she deserves 🤍

Harley is a 5 almost 6 year old (Feb 13) Kelpie. He is healthy, hour trained, happy and friendly. He loves to play, cuddle and run and would be best suited for a home with a yard. He is fixed, chipped and up to date on shots. He is good with other dogs after a gentle introduction. He would be best suited for a calm home without small children.
