Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- St. Petersburg, FL Meet Stella! She is an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd and weighs between 65-70 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Stella is nervous around strangers, especially men! She is good with cats and dogs! Stella would do best in a home with one other dog or as the only dog, because she prefers her alone time and having the attention focused on her. She hasn’t been tested around children. Stella is given 40 mg of Prozac daily and allergy medication as needed. The owner is surrendering her because they are unable to care for her financially. They also are unable to provide the time and attention that she needs. She needs to go by 4/30! If you think you can provide a great home for Stella, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Stella. Story
Trinket is a happy go lucky ball of energy, she is a whopping 50lbs now at a year old. She is an Australian Shepherd mix, is fixed and up to date on shots and monthly preventatives. She is a sweet girl who loves to meet new people, and loves to play with other dogs. She loves cats but does leave them alone as well as small animals like rabbits, but may chase squirrels. She's used to seeing horses and exotic birds like peacocks. Trinket will require more training, shw is slowly calming down but she knows no personal boundaries and likes to throw hwr weight around as she still believesshes a tiny puppy, we tell her she's not a lap dog and she still doesnt believe it. She knows sit, paw, down, leave it, roll, stay and is learning "stick em up". She is afraid of new things bit still brave on the leash and will require more training there as well. She will also need a fenced in yard as she has too much energy and loves to run and get all her zoomies out. Trinket loves to jump over baby gates but has never jumped out of her puppy yard enclosed with a chain link 4 foot fence. She rides extremely well in a car, and is used to being tethered but is currently not tethered during car rides, and was a really good girl on her Foster's recent trip from Florida to North Carolina. Trinket will need a home that understands that she has a lot of energy, and needs a lot of training. She would do best in a home with older children only due to the fact that she would jump on and knock over littles really easily and not mean too, and then proceed to give too many kisses after knocking them down. Requirements: * a friendly dog buddy who loves to play * a meet and greet with everyone who lives in the house, dog(s) included * Fenced in yard * Someone with time and patience to give her the training she needs. * An aussie experienced home preferred as she has lots of Aussie tendencies energy wise Located in New Port Richey, FL If Trinket sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family

Story
I've had Rocket since he was eight weeks old. Due to divorce and downsizing I am not able to give him the attention and exercise he needs anymore. He's got a lot of energy and needs to run around. We are in a tiny apartment and my guy needs more than I can give him. He grew up with cats and kids but takes a while to acclimate with strangers.

Story
Bublé – The Loyal Heartthrob with a VIP Guest List Looking for a dog who's handsome, loyal, smart and house-trained? Say hello to Bublé – the total package with a dash of mystery. This two-year-old shepherd mix is the perfect size—not too big, not too small. He’s athletic enough to be your running buddy, but equally happy to chill on the couch for a Netflix binge. He’s perfectly behaved in the house, walks like a dream on leash, and gets along fabulously with both dogs and cats. So what’s the catch? Bublé’s not big on strangers. He’s a “small circle, big loyalty” kinda guy. If you have people over often, he’s happiest tucked away in another room—no guilt necessary. He just prefers slow, respectful introductions and isn’t looking to host parties anytime soon. If you’re someone who values loyalty, quiet companionship, and a dog who gives 110% to his people, Bublé might be your soulmate. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now and let Bublé charm his way into your heart. Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
Gracie Mae was adopted from Turks and Caicos. She is a super loving dog, but it's not working out because she does not get along with my other dog and she needs to be in a single dog family with no other pets. She probably needs a home with a nice big yard. She is super protective. She loves to play tug of war & she loves to play catch. She is very, very loved and she needs to go to a very good home and someone who can dedicate lots of attention to her.

Don’t let her age fool you — Mazurka is pure energy wrapped in fluff. She’s obsessed with fetch, lives for long walks, and will happily hop onto a paddleboard or kayak like she owns the lake. Her spirit is playful, her loyalty is deep, and her zoomies are legendary. Mazurka thrives with someone who matches her high-energy lifestyle. If you love outdoor adventures, spontaneous play sessions, and a dog who’s always ready to move, she’s your perfect match. She’s not slowing down — she’s just getting started.
