Tucker is a large, friendly energetic dog. He is house trained and is not destructive. He loves people but is not great with other dogs, mostly male dogs. He is not great with small children as he sometimes forgets how big he is. With a new baby on the way we do not have the space and time to care for him properly and would prefer to find him a new home that would be a better match.

Pico was born in a shelter in Alabama on 3/2/2022 and are looking for his furever family. He is crate trained and will bark to alert people when hr need to go out to go potty. He is good with dogs, cats, and children. He is already learning the basics: sit, down, leave it, wait and come. He is being fostered in Dade City, FL. He is sweet and wonderful with an amazing temperament. Mom is full Australian Shepherd and dad is the mail man. He is are current on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and microchipped. AT THE END OF NOVEMBER, ANIMAL CONTROL CONFISCATED THESE BOYS FROM A HORRIBLE SITUATION. BUBLÉ WAS IN ROUGH SHAPE BUT STABLE. BUDDY THE ELF WAS BARELY ALIVE WHEN FOUND. BOTH EMACIATED, LOADED WITH PARASITES OF ALL KINDS AND RAW, INFECTED SKIN FROM DEMODEX MANGE.  AS YOU CAN NOW SEE - THEY ARE DOING GREAT NOW! THEY ARE BOTH FULL GROWN YOUNG ADULTS AT ABOUT 30LBS OF LEGS AND TYPICAL HERDING TRAITS. AS THEIR FUR HAS GROWN BACK IN, OUR BEST GUESS IS AUSSIE MIX.  THEIR IDEAL HOMES WOULD BE SEPARATE BUT WITH ANOTHER CONFIDENT MEDIUM TO LARGE PUP THAT CAN CONTINUE TO TEACH THEM PROPER SOCIALIZATION AND MANNERS.  All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Tucker is an energetic and playful boy who will thrive with an active mom (or moms). Tucker does not like men and requires a female household. He also does not like boots. He is okay with some dogs, but is possessive over food and toys and will need patience when adapting to another dog in the household. He is non reactive on walks, it is only in the home where he is learning how to be with other pups.  He is a super smart boy who has been through training. Maxine is a sweet, petite little lady. She is estimated to be between 10 and 12 years old. She's 37 pounds and a complete sweetheart. Maxine was found as a stray and brought to our county shelter. No one came looking for her. Maxine has clearly had untreated skin issues on her back for quite some time, leaving her with rough skin and little hair. It's unknown if her hair will grow back, but it's possible with time and proper care and nutrition. Maxine is a very sweet and friendly girl. She's great with other dogs and all people. Cats are unknown. Maxine is such a happy go lucky girl. She loves to cuddle in bed or the couch, chew bones and she can be pretty frisky and cute.
