Story
Meet Kelly & Winnie — a bonded pair looking for a forever home together Kelly is a ~45lb 6-year-old Australian Shepherd, and Winnie is a ~85lb 5-year-old Black Lab. They are best friends/sisters who share a special bond, and they’re hoping to find a home where they can stay side by side. Kelly is a gentle, intelligent, sweet-natured girl who may be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience, she opens up into an incredibly loving and loyal companion. Once she’s comfortable, her playful and slightly sassy personality shines through. She enjoys walks, keeping an eye on the yard (especially the squirrels), and relaxing indoors with her people. She’s well-mannered, good on a leash, and will let you know when she needs to go outside. Winnie is pure sunshine. The best way to describe her is a teddy bear—big, soft, and full of love. She’s friendly, outgoing, and adores everyone she meets, whether it’s people, kids, or even cats. Winnie is affectionate, funny, and incredibly loyal. She’ll “talk” to you, keep you company, and always make sure everyone around her is okay. She loves walks, playtime, and then curling up for cuddles afterward. Together, they balance each other perfectly—Kelly brings a calm, watchful presence, while Winnie brings warmth and outgoing energy. They both love spending time outside and then coming in to be part of the family. Both dogs are: Great with kids and cats Spayed Leash trained In need of updated vaccinations/grooming Rehoming them is a difficult decision due to their owner's medical limitations that make it hard to give them the time and activity they need. They have so much love, loyalty, and companionship left to give, and they truly deserve a home where they can thrive—together. If you’re looking for not just one amazing dog, but a built-in pair of best friends who will fill your home with love and companionship, Kelly and Winnie are ready to fill your home with unconditional love. The best way to begin this adoption is to directly email storkwoods@comcast.net and request an application.

Story
Hello, our names are Carson (m), Bridger (m), and Colton (m). We are the cutest, sweetest, funniest, silliest babies you have ever met. We are like watching a three ring circus never knowing who is going to do what. But, the more you laugh, the sillier we are. We are not bonded siblings. We live with other rescue pups. Here at my foster mom's place, there are adult dogs, cats & kittens, a horse and a rooster. She has a creek running through the property which is good because we LOVE water. Our lives began in a rural community. The man who owned my parents was not responsible. So, here we are. But the bad part is, he could not hardly pay for food, vetting our three boys, or fixing our parents. He could not even give us flea/ tick prevention or heartworm prevention for our parents. The kind lady who was notified about us took us into her rescue. Today we are fed, full vetting is being done, flea/ tick prevention along with heartworm prevention is being given. I would like to have a family who is active, likes the water, goes for walks, hiking, camping, snuggling and car rides. Please request an application from alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. When you receive the application please fill out completely to include your three references email addresses. The references cannot be related to you. See you soon, I am waiting. Colton Male Not neutered Breed: Aussie/ Lab mix Age 15 weeks old (As of 05/19/2025) Weight: 18lbs Color: Yellow & white & Black Great with people, older children, dogs/ puppies, cats/ kittens, a horse, and a rooster Adoption donation $495

Story
Meet Jolina Jolina is a 4-month-old white Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle spirit and a playful, loving personality. Jolina is deaf, but she navigates the world with curiosity and resilience, using her eyes and heart to connect with everything around her. She is a sweet, affectionate puppy who loves being near her people and soaking up attention. Jolina enjoys playtime, exploring, and following along with what’s going on around her. Because she is still learning how the world works, she would do best in a home with another confident, well-adjusted dog who can help guide her and build her confidence. Jolina is incredibly intuitive and eager to learn. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, she will continue to grow into a well-rounded and devoted companion. She may experience the world differently, but she is just as loving, smart, and capable as any other puppy. If you’re ready to open your home to a special girl with so much love to give, Jolina is waiting to meet you If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today!
