Story
Hello! My name is Lexi!I am a sweet and playful lady who is ready for a new home. I am deaf, and would benefit from having an attentive owner who is comfortable with working with me and possibly learning some hand signs! Here are some things staff have noticed about me so far:- I am medium to high level energy and would prefer an active owner that can get me the exercise I need!- I seem to love other dogs and have also lived with cats!- I am a fence jumper and will need an owner that is comfortable with keeping a close eye on me or taking measures to prevent me from escaping!- I have done great with kids at the shelter! If you are interested in adopting or fostering me, please contact CNHS with any questions!

Story
My Australian shepherd Beaux is 7 years old now, he was trained to be my service animal but it is time for him to go into retirement. I have a lot of medical health issues and beaux was with me for several years. My health took a dramatic turn and I am starting to go in an upward trend and therefore my need for Beaux has become less and less. He has been my best friend and greatest companion. But unfortunately I have moved into a new apartment and am now seeking employment. Beaux would be best fit with a family preferably with kids and he is the only dog. But he absolutely loves other dogs and kids and cats. My buddy needs a forever home.

Story
My name is Max, and my family can’t really take care of me because they’re all pretty busy and have packed schedules. They want to find me a new home where I can go for walks, play around, get some love, and cuddle. My favorite person left for college and then moved into an apartment, but they don’t allow dogs there, and she has a daughter. I ended up staying with my grandparents, but they don’t have much time to look after me either. I’d really love to find a new family to rehome me.

Story
Mia is a sweet and friendly mini aussie. She loves toys, especially her yellow duck. She also loves walks and playing with other dogs. She's playful and affectionate with people too. Her ideal home would be with someone who enjoys exercising with an active, loyal and attentive dog. Mia would be excited to have a playful canine companion about her size. She plays nicely with small dogs too, but she'd enjoy more fun and exercise with a dog her size. She does pull at times on walks and sometimes barks at people she sees, but when she gets to meet them, she's friendly and enjoys their attention. Mia is house trained and crate trained & she sleeps through the night. She enjoys activity, but also likes relaxing on the couch with her person. She will be 6 yrs. old on June 3rd. She is spayed and recently had a dental done too.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $300 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.June 15, 2026, 1:08 pm
