Story
Hello my name is Journey. I am an Australian Shepherd mix. I am a lovable companion and looking for a new home. Quick facts: * Male, neutered * 9 years old * 55 pounds * House trained * Good with owners, adults * Fully vaccinated * Healthy I have been a loyal dog to my owners since being rescued eight years ago in Raleigh, NC. At first, I was a great companion to my single owner. Then, when my owner became married, I enjoyed the new relationship. A few weeks ago, a new baby was born and now things are too busy here, so I am currently staying with my grandparents. I enjoy being a great companion. I can be rather independent too. You might find me sitting next to you on the sofa, or more often than not you may find that I am resting in a quiet place of the house for a long nap. I do like to go outside a couple times a day. I like to play once in a while by pulling on a rope toy. I don’t like loud noises - such as thunderstorms - or strange sounds. I am not comfortable around other dogs and cats. I answer to most commands and I come when called. I go by Journey, Jay, or J-Dog. I hope you will consider me as your future companion. Please contact michael.g.scheu@gmail.com

Story
Meet Ash! Ash is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a boundless capacity for love and a curiosity that keeps her exploring the world. This sweet and playful girl adores being the center of attention and will happily soak up all the affection you can give. She’s happiest when she’s with her people, always eager to please and stay close. Ash thrives on active play and loves roughhousing with her big foster brother. She’s a quick learner, excelling in her training and always ready to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm. A fenced-in yard would be perfect for this energetic pup to safely burn off energy while she continues to blossom into her best self. Though she hasn’t had the chance to meet kids yet, Ash is wonderful with other dogs and is housebroken—a big plus for any prospective family. If you’re looking for a devoted, lively companion who will bring endless joy, Ash is ready to join your pack and make every day an adventure! Ash is ready to find her forever family—could that be you? ##2244974##

Story
Don't matter whether it's Chips Ahoy or Nutter Butters...everyone just loves a good cookie and Cookie here is like a Crumbl level treat! Cookie is a gorgeous Aussie perhaps Collie mix who is an adult weighing about 50 lbs full grown. Cookie might have been a stray but her locks are gorgeous already so we can't even imagine what she will shine like with some TLC. Cookie is a nice, sweet and quiet girl in her crate who has eyes (and a heart) for people. She does well with other dogs and plays a bit but when volunteers are around she would prefer their company over all else. Given her likely breed mixes, Cookie would flourish in a home that provides regular exercise and adventuring. She is very gentle and is likely to become your shadow in no time flat. No massive calories to come with this Cookie, just lots of yummy time spent together!

Story
(DOB 10/04/2024)  Meet Chaz – the ultimate bundle of energy and happiness! This friendly, athletic boy is always ready for action and loves to keep busy. His favorite pastime? Pushing his big ball around the yard and playing fetch for hours on end – he's a true sports star in the making! Super smart and eager to learn, Chaz would thrive in an active home where he can go for daily walks or run free in a spacious, fenced yard. Confident and engaging, Chaz gets along best with a submissive playmate or as the only dog, and he’s crate trained and house trained with a steady routine. He’s still working on his leash skills but is eager to improve! While he’s great with older kids who can match his energetic nature, no cats for this lively guy. If you’re looking for a joyful, energetic companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with fun, Chaz is ready to be your new best friend! As part of Chaz’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Chaz, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2397186##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Adora is adorable! We are not exactly sure what her mix is. Mom somewhat resembles an Aussie mix. But it's also entirely possible there's some catahoula leopard dog in the mix as well. Whatever she is, she is 100% amazing. She has stunning blue eyes. Adora is deaf. This doesn't make her any less adoptable. She does have some light sensitivity due to her eye color.  Adora LOVES everyone she meets. She has wonderful leash manners. She loves to yell her loudest when shes excited and playing. We almost sleep through the night now and only have the occasional urine accident in the kennel. Adora's not a fan of stairs or rain. Both of which seem to overstimulae her and it takes time for her to walk on stairs and in the rain. She loves a ramp option though.   ************************************************************************ The puppy adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the future spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All puppies have had a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the puppy name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an applicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 30, 2025, 2:57 pm

Story
Meet Howie! Howie is a sweet, loyal, somewhat crazy 6 year old mini aussiedoodle. :) We love him so much it's hard to even type this, but after 6 amazing years, we need to rehome him, as he's not great with kids and we now have two lovely daughters who take priority. The main thing is he has a ton of energy, and this is not a department our household has in abundance with two little ones! Howie was trained by Javier Mendoza-Diek at Proactive Dog Training and is very well-trained in a wide variety of skills (sit, stay, come, place, etc., along with some more fun ones). Proactive provides "training for life," so if Howie requires any new training to be rehomed, this will be included at no cost. We're so sad to rehome him, but he's not living his best life right now and deserves better than we can provide. A home without little kids in which he can be more active & given more attention will be so much better for him. Thank you for taking a look! Happy to host a visit if interested.

Story
Charlee is a 1 year old border collie mix that my husband and I adopted from a rescue back in October 2024. She was very shy and timid but we have watched her grow and flourish. She does very well with other dogs and cats. We are very sad to have to re-home her but we are expecting our first baby and are unable to give her the time that she deserves. We are looking for anyone who can give our sweet girl the home she deserves. Preferably a home with other dogs as she thrives with other dogs!
