Story
Didi is sweet, affectionate, and full of energy. Loves to meet new people and is a good watch dog. She loves to run, play fetch, and tug of war. Didi needs a place to run --- probably not an apartment dog. The only reason that I am giving her up is do to my own health issues l cannot give her the attention that she needs. Might have some speration anxiety at first. Didi will settle down in a few minutes. Worst thing Didi ever did was eat a half a pound of fresh mozzarella cheese.that i had left out.

Story
PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS A stunning creature in every way, Kalua will make a wonderful addition to someone looking for a companion who is smart, loyal, and independent. Only people who are experienced dog owners should apply, and preference will be given to those who are familiar with working breeds. Her forever family should not have young children or other pets (dogs and cats), as Kalua is still learning to be less fearful of her environment. Kalua is highly sensitive to loud noises. Therefore, she needs to live in a detached home in a relatively quiet neighborhood, so she can relax and will not come across a lot of people and traffic (buses and trucks are the bane of her existence!). She will bark in response to sudden noises or other dogs barking, but settles down quickly when told to stop. Kalua is working through a few anxiety issues, but has been making excellent progress, so it is essential that she join a family who will continue to take things slowly and steadily. She is wary of new people and things, and, as a result, is not the type of dog who is immediately friendly and affectionate. With time and patience, Kalua has warmed up to her foster mom (she's starting to realize the magic of belly rubs!), but she does need her space. Thanks to a structured training routine, Kalua has been adjusting beautifully in her foster home. She is incredibly intelligent and has already mastered the Sit, Down, Paw, Wait, Touch, Fetch, Crate, Bow, Back Up, and Nose commands. Due to her cleverness, her human needs to be firm in establishing boundaries and in adhering to rules that will help both dog and human continue to flourish and bond. Once you have earned her trust, she is eager to please and will delight you with her ability to learn quickly. Kalua is housebroken and crate-trained. She can be crated alone for 5 hours and will sleep soundly in her crate overnight for 6- to 8 hours. She even lets you know when she's ready for bed by tucking herself in! A lovely housemate, she has exhibited no destructive tendencies around the house and no resource guarding, and takes treats gently. She also rides well in a car. Although initially uncomfortable with human touch, by letting her decide when she wants affection, Kalua now happily lets her foster mom wipe her paws and brush her coat. Kalua is an excellent (not to mention the cutest!) buddy who enjoys napping under her foster mom's desk while she works from home. She enjoys challenging her brain with puzzle toys, gets excited to play fetch and catch (see her video!), and sometimes likes to keep busy by chewing on her Benebone. All of these activities must be supervised and she gladly follows her human's lead. Kalua is a young and medium-energy dog who will need both her body and mind to be stimulated. She requires 15-minute walks, 3 or 4 times a day, in addition to short training intervals inside the house. With practice and patience, Kalua has learned to walk by her foster mom's heel and respond when called. Given her fear of sudden noises and a propensity for chasing squirrels, it's very important that her human stay calm and focused during walks to prevent her from fleeing or lunging. Once she finds her rhythm, Kalua loves to run. And what pure joy it is to see her athleticism shine! If you're someone who is ready and eager to put in the time and energy to work with Kalua to overcome her anxiety while engaging her body and mind, then you'll surely be rewarded with a fantastic forever companion! PHYSICAL Kalua's most striking feature is her glacier-blue eyes that almost sparkle in the sun. She boasts a silky soft, dark auburn coat with white markings on her face and chest. Her feet are also covered in spots of tan and white. HEALTH Kalua is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative. HISTORY Kalua was surrendered to a local shelter by her owner.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › This is my foster baby Nash ! he is a very sweet loving boy who has a a rough time in life thus far he was a commercial breeder with little human interaction. He likes to snuggle when he gets to know you but is a very shy and nervous boy , he is cautious about everything. His perfect match would be someone with a lot of patients, a fenced yard, and someone that is home most of the time or all of the time. I takes him a bit to trust so the best thing would be to get him in his forever home so that he can learn to be a dog and will feel safe furever!! He has been good with another dog that is very laid back and has learned from her and seems to follow her lead . We are working potty training and if you take him straight out in the am and at night he does amazing! if you think you would be Nash’s perfect match please apply&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143@ Pawfect Match Rescue and Rehabilitation. search for NashVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2023, 2:27 pm

Ruby is the sweetest 11 week old girl! She loves to play, snuggle, and nap. She hates to be alone, and we think she misses her doggie siblings. Would be best in a home with at least one other pup , and we aren’t able to have multiple pets right now. She’s is working at house training and doing well! Great with kids! Ruby really has the best personality and really captures your heart immediately.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This guy has some stunning good looks, as you can see, but he is a bit of a shy, slightly aloof guy when you first meet him. He has never really known anyone other than his family, so he can be wary of new people. Once you give him time to warm up, he`s super sweet. He definitely LOVES toys and gets very excited about them. He does not have experience with other animals, but had zero reaction to our outdoor cats when walked past them this week. He has spent time in various offices with our staff in the past week or so, and seems quite content with laying under a desk or on a blanket nearby. He`s had no accidents and walks well on a leash (no pulling at all). He`s a really well behaved boy, albeit a hefty one at 94 lbs. (he might need to shed a few). Roger does seem to favor women a tad more than men, but that`s okay--he just may be a lady`s man!

These pups are in Durham, North Carolina too!

Story
Meet Possum! Possum came to us as a very young, tiny boy after being found by someone and brought to the shelter. We have no idea how he managed to end up all alone as a stray at four weeks old, but we're so glad this little guy found his way to us! He immediately made himself at home as an honorary member of a litter of puppies also being cared for in his foster home. Possum loves to play with the other dogs, including other puppies and adults. And he loves a good cuddle session in the evenings as well. Possum is currently working on house training and crate training. He's looking for a person or family who is ready to continue his training and teach him new things. Possum is living proof that chosen family can often be the very best kind, and he's looking for the right person to come along and choose him as the next member of their pack!
