Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bixby is a wonderfully sweet boy.  He loves being an inside dog, he is for sure a lap dog.  He loves all people and all dogs, he seems to prefer female dogs his size or smaller, he was a little uncertain around his Newfoundland foster brother, who is enormous compared this compact boy, but is finding his confidence around him. Bixby is great with kids, however, due to his young age, any kids in the home should be at least 6 years old.   He will do best in a home with at least another canine companion, preferably a female to help burn off energy.  If his adopter is very active then he'd do very well in that environment without a canine companion.   Bixby has a lot of energy, so he will require a fenced yard, physical fencing attached to the home, no underground fencing, so he will be safe getting his energy out.  He loves playing fetch and rough housing with one of his foster sisters.  He settles excellently inside the home once all energy is used up.  Bixby has been neutered, microchipped and is update to date on all vaccines and preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2025, 1:10 pm

Story
Hello my name is Journey. I am an Australian Shepherd mix. I am a lovable companion and looking for a new home. Quick facts: * Male, neutered * 9 years old * 55 pounds * House trained * Good with owners, adults * Fully vaccinated * Healthy I have been a loyal dog to my owners since being rescued eight years ago in Raleigh, NC. At first, I was a great companion to my single owner. Then, when my owner became married, I enjoyed the new relationship. A few weeks ago, a new baby was born and now things are too busy here, so I am currently staying with my grandparents. I enjoy being a great companion. I can be rather independent too. You might find me sitting next to you on the sofa, or more often than not you may find that I am resting in a quiet place of the house for a long nap. I do like to go outside a couple times a day. I like to play once in a while by pulling on a rope toy. I don’t like loud noises - such as thunderstorms - or strange sounds. I am not comfortable around other dogs and cats. I answer to most commands and I come when called. I go by Journey, Jay, or J-Dog. I hope you will consider me as your future companion. Please contact michael.g.scheu@gmail.com

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Littleton, NC Meet Qtip! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix and weighs 50 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. He is good with older children! No younger children, because he is nervous around them. He is good with the other dogs inside of the home, but hasn’t been tested around dogs outside of the home. The owner is surrendering him because their child is allergic to him. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Qtip, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Qtip. Owner’s Contact Information: Rachel at rblyon7@gmail.com.

Story
Hey there, darlin’! I’m Patsy, and just like my namesake, I’m a little bit classic, a little bit sassy, and a whole lot of sweet. I’ve got a heart as big as Texas, and I’m ready to give all my love to a forever family who’ll cherish me as much as I’ll adore them. As an Australian Shepherd, American Pit Bull Terrier, Collie, and Beagle mix, I’ve got the perfect harmony of smarts, sweetness, and playful energy. Whether I’m chasing my tail, trotting by your side, or curling up for some snuggles, I do everything with a little extra charm. I may have a playful streak, but deep down, I’m all about love, loyalty, and sticking by your side through all of life’s ups and downs. If you're looking for a pup who’s got the grace of a country ballad and the spunk of a honky-tonk tune, I’m your girl. Let's make some beautiful memories together—'cause I’ll be crazy in love with you from the moment we meet!

Story
Well, howdy friend! I’m Merle, and just like the country legend I’m named after, I’m all about staying loyal, loving deep, and enjoying the simple things in life. Whether it’s playin’ in the sunshine, learnin’ new tricks, or just sittin’ by your side watchin’ the world go by, I’m happiest when I’m with my people. As an Australian Shepherd, American Pit Bull Terrier, Collie, and Beagle mix, I’ve got the perfect blend of smarts, energy, and devotion. I’m quick on my paws, full of curiosity, and always ready for an adventure—whether it's a walk through the neighborhood or a trip to the backyard honky-tonk (aka your porch). If you're lookin' for a down-to-earth, easy-goin’ pup with a twinkle in his eye and a wag in his tail, then I reckon we’d make a mighty fine pair. Let’s write our own country love story—one belly rub at a time!

Story
Howdy y’all, I’m Loretta – just a little pup with a whole lotta love to give! I may not sing country tunes, but I sure know how to melt hearts with my soulful eyes and sweet, gentle nature. Just like my namesake, I’m full of charm, a little bit of sass, and a whole lot of loyalty. As an Australian Shepherd, American Pit Bull Terrier, Collie, and Beagle mix, I’ve got a perfect mix of smarts, energy, and affection. Whether I'm trottin’ around the yard, playing with my toys, or cuddlin’ up close for some quiet time, I’m happiest when I'm with my people. I’ll be the first to greet you at the door and the last to leave your side – ‘cause that’s just the kind of girl I am. I’m lookin’ for a family who’s ready for a best friend who’s as sweet as sweet tea and twice as loyal. If you’ve got a cozy spot on the couch and a heart full of love, I just might be the pup for you!
