But, make no mistake, Achilles is not a couch potato. Because he is a herding breed, he needs a physically active owner who will take him on long, fast paced walks and play fetch with him so he can burn off all the excess energy that he might normally have expended herding livestock. And because of his energy and love of running and chasing, he requires a home with a fenced yard - a physical fence of 4' or taller.  Achilles walks extremely well on leash and his favorite playtime activity is fetching tennis balls which he does with amazing speed and agility.  Achilles can be a bit timid when experiencing new places and would benefit greatly from regular socialization.  It also takes him some time to feel comfortable with other canines, so introductions to other pooches should be done gradually. Achilles will do best and be happiest, in fact, in a home where he is the only dog. He loves adult human companionship most of all! Any children in the home should be 8 years or older. Achilles is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and housetrained. He is looking forward to finding his forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 7:09 am

Lex is super sweet and gentle.  He is great with other dogs and children.  Unfortunately, he tested positive for Cushings Disease.  Basically, that means he has to be on medication.  Other than that, he is such a wonderful, easy dog.  He weighs 42 pounds and would love your New Best Friend. ##1995044##

Story
Are you looking for a black & tan Aussie mix type of girl? Them I'm the one for you. And I have a c-u-r-l-y tail... I won't be large when I grow up so you can take me anywhere. I'm the kind of shy one in the bunch. Give me a minute to check out new things and I'll be fine. The good thing about me is I am super affectionate and also happy to entertain myself with a toy. You know, when my siblings are beating each other up I'll just be over here behaving. I would love a family who will build my confidence and show me the world at my pace. I have seen a vet, got two sets of shots, and have my microchip already. I like other dogs and kids past the shrieking stage. I know to do my business outside and it will only be a matter of time until I can hold it long enough to get there. I sleep in the crate with my siblings so that should go well too. I'm smart and active. Are you a family who likes to do stuff? I will excel in puppy kindergarten when I'm old enough. I know puppies are work but I promise to be the best girl and love you forever. So pick me, MARIGOLD!
