Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Jupiter to DASH! This young girl came to DASH from a rural shelter in southern Ohio. She is housebroken, very sweet and enjoys being with her person. She is a high activity girl and will need an active person or family who can give her an outlet for that energy. She is said to be crate trained, housebroken and walks well on a leash. She is currently in our DASH Prison program where her handler says "Jupiter is a fun loving and ready to please dog. she loves fetch or laying around with her person. She gets along with all the dogs she has met. She is ready to melt your heart with her constant licks of love and loves being loved on!" She has not been kid or cat tested. If you are ready for a buddy to go with you hiking or biking or any adventures or have a job for her to do, she is perfect for that and waiting for her forever home!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2026, 12:55 pm

Story
My husband and I are due for our second child in early October but we are worried with how she acts with our 4 year old that she will hurt the baby when they get here. I believe she would be a better fit for a home with older children or no kids. Maybe even with a fenced in yard. If it was just me and her I would keep her. She is high energy and loves to run

Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Bio for Secret Female  Approximate age ~ 6 months  Breed~ Aussie mix  Weight~ 23 lbs  Impairments ~ Deaf  Potty trained ~ Yes Good with dogs ~ Yes Good with cats~ She barks at them Good with kids ~ Yes  Commands known ~ or being worked on -Sit,Come,No,Outside, Crate,Eat,Bedtime  Need a fenced yard ~ Yes or leash walked Need another dog ~ No. But she would love to have a friend  Energy level ~ Med/high Location ~ Troy Ohio    Secret is 6 months old.  A very loving girl who will keep you smiling.  She is deaf, but don't tell her she's a bit different.  She doesn't care. She loves to play and cuddle the same as any other pup. She's very smart and learns quickly.  She was potty trained in a week.  She picked up hand signals in no time.  But like a typical kid, she ignore those hand signals if she's not ready to stop playing.  Secret loves playing with other dogs. Kids fascinate her. She barks at cats. She thinks all toys are great. But if there's a toy she likes better than others, she guards it and doesn't like to share. We just simply put the toy away and everything is fine. At feeding time she goes straight to her crate waiting patiently for her turn to be fed. When no one is home, she's put in her crate. She goes in easily and keeps it neat and clean.  At 23 lbs, she's probably about as big as she's going to get.  Upon adoption she'll be spay and completely vaccinated.  Are you looking for a great companion? You won't find a better one than Secret.  So hurry to @speakfortheunspoken and fill out an application because your best friend is waiting for you. ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Story
Here comes Petey!!  Petey (Dos) came to Ohio from Kentucky with his mother and 7 littermates when he was just 5 weeks old.  He has been in foster care since that time with his sibling, Chase (Tres).  He is an Australian Shepherd mix which means he loves to run and play and get plenty of exercise and fresh air.  In his foster home he loves to wrestle and romp with his brother Chase.  He loves the outdoors, rolling in green grass, and scavenger hunting for anything that he can play with.  He is curious, sweet and eager to please.  He is working on learning some commands and also working on potty training but is still quite young.  He does not have cats or kids in his foster home but given his young age, should do great with both if given proper introductions and supervision. Petey (Dos) will need to be neutered and complete the remainder of vaccines before he can be adopted.  He is up to date on heartworm, flea and prevention.  ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES.
