Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Cooper! This little fellah is sweet, sassy, happy go lucky and looking for his forever home. He is currently in our DASH Prison Training Program where he is learning his manners and basic commands. He seems to have already picked up on sit, stay, down, wait & leave it. Of course he will need encouragement & continued practice as he acclimates to a new home environment. Cooper is affectionate, energetic, but also can be lazy and relaxed when it's time to snuggle. He loves water & baths, is leash trained, housetrained, doesn't complain in his crate. His trainer says he will go in his crate to sleep when he is told "bed time". He is smitten with this boy saying he is a happy dog who enjoys his toys, walks and social attention. Cooper loves all people and playing the other dogs. He has not been cat or kid tested so proper introductions are a must although Cooper would probably tell you he's ready to come home now! Apply to meet him today!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 12, 2025, 10:26 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Jupiter to DASH! This young girl came to DASH from a rural shelter in southern Ohio. She is very sweet and enjoys being with her person. She is very high energy and will need an active person or family who can give her an outlet for that energy. She does not like being crated or kenneled and will bark in both so an apartment is probably not going to be a good fit for her. Her trainer says "Jupiter is a fun loving and ready to please dog. she loves fetch or laying around with her person. She gets along with all the dogs she has met. She is ready to melt your heart with her constant licks of love!" She has not been kid or cat tested. If you are ready for a buddy to go with you hiking or biking or any adventures or have a job for her to do, she is perfect for that and waiting for her forever home! The next steps are to fill out an application at https://dashresue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 25, 2026, 10:56 am

Story
Hi, my dog’s name is Blitz and he is 6 1/2 years old. I’ve had him for 3 1/2 years and got him from another rescue service. He is very good both inside and outside of the house. He does not like to travel in the car. It gives him anxiety and he slobbers. He loves attention and chasing tennis balls, which he generally catches on the first bounce. He chases the squirrels in my backyard and birds. He loves being petted and will follow you anywhere you go. He’s not one to lay down and sleep while I’m at home. He’s not happy when I leave home, but does not tear up anything or leave any messes in the house. There is shedding as you would expect with an Australian Shepherd breed. He’s a happy dog, especially when you come back after being away. He jumps and spins circles. He is a rescue dog as I’ve mentioned, so does have some idiosyncrasies. For example, if I go downstairs, he will go with me, but won’t come back up unless I tell him it’s OK. Same thing if I go out in the garage. Good dog!

Story
Bio for Roya • Name: Roya • Male or female? Female • Approximate Age: 1 year old • Breed: Australian Shepherd • Weight: 43 lbs • Any impairments: Mild vision impairment (cannot see someone across the street, but can see anything closer than that) • Potty trained? 95% potty trained. Accidents are rare at this point.  • Crate trained? Yes, her crate is her safe place.  • Good with other dogs? Yes, absolutely loves other dogs • Good with cats? Yes, amazing with cats. Very gentle.  • Good with kids? Yes, does well with calm children that are gentle and quiet and let her go at the pace she's comfortable with.  • Needs fenced in yard? No, she stays close to her people.  • Need another dog in the home? Yes, must have another confident, well-socialized, and playful dog in the home that will help her continue to come out of her shell  • Location: Westfield, IN • Energy level (high/med/low)? Low to medium (likes a mental challenge more than a physical one - e.g. puzzles, treat balls, etc. She is smart!) Bio: Hi there! My name is Roya. I am a shy girl who unfortunately, did not have the best start in life. Despite that, my foster mom says I'm one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. Due to the scary situations I was exposed to in my previous homes, it takes me a bit of time to learn to trust new people. I promise though, once you show me I can trust you, I will be your personal shadow and full-time best friend! I love to cuddle and shower you in kisses. I also tend to wiggle my whole body when I'm happy. My foster mom says that one day I'm going to wiggle so hard that I'll take flight!  I'm a smart girl who is eager to please and easy to train. I also love other dogs! I absolutely love playing with the 3 dogs in my foster home. In fact, I'm yet to meet a dog I don't like! The dogs in my foster home have shown me the ropes and helped me understand that humans aren't always scary. I've grown a lot more confident with them around. Because of this, I will need another confident, well-socialized, and playful pup in my forever home to be my best friend and help me continue to build confidence.  Some things you should know about me:  I am leash and crate-trained. Actually, I love my crate! It's my safe space. I am also awesome with cats. I live with several cats in my foster home and am very gentle with all of them. I am also potty trained. I've never had an accident in my kennel and won't have an accident outside of my kennel as long as I am let out to potty every 6 hours. Easy enough, right? Overall, I'm a very sweet girl who only wants to find a family that will love her and make her feel safe. Could that be you? I'm estimated to be around 1 year old. I am up-to-date on vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and am scheduled to be spayed prior to adoption. I am being fostered in Westfield, IN. ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adopting this dog. It may take me a while to warm up to you but once I do, we can be best friends! I like to follow around my foster mom and sit right next to her, as close as I possibly can and I’m also easily redirected to my bed when she needs some space. I bark at the people and dogs walking by the house but I am very friendly when I meet them on walks and at the dog park. I like playing with all kinds of toys and bones, eating yummy snacks, going for walks and taking a nap. I also love a good game of fetch including bringing the ball right back to you and dropping it at your feet. Before coming to SPEAK I was a stray and needed surgery on my hip after being hit by a car. I am much happier now that I have healed can run around. I will need some hikes and runs at the park to continue to progress and build muscle in my back leg and some patience to work on my confidence. I promise it will be worth it!
