Born 4-1-18 Jax is almost 6 years old. He has only been with one owner since he was a puppy. Shots are all up to date. Jax is very intelligent. He is extremely obedient. Jax knows many commands including: sit, stay, place, crate, drop it, heal, sniff, touch, spin, and out. He is house and crate trained. He loves belly rubs. He loves playing fetch with a ball or frisbee. Loving Dog who will sit at your feet. He does get nervous around children and can be protective over his owner. This dog belongs to my daughter who has a young child and although Jax has never bitten the child, she sees signs of nervousness and has seen glimpses of aggressive moves toward her 10 month old child so she feels she cannot keep the dog. Jax is currently residing with us (her parents) and he has always been very good for us. Jax gets along well with dogs he knows. He is E-collar trained. His trainer stated that he is a smart and a typical Ausie who likes to herd. He is an active couch potato!

Story

Looking for loving & patient home. 7years ago this lovely lady wandered on my property in WV. After being unable to locate an owner, our family assumed responsibility of her. She was able to run free on 22+ acres, she protected my children and was very good at keeping coyotes away. Several months ago we moved to OH to help take care of my mother. We combined houses, mom has possibly developed allergies to dogs. Beulah is now confined to a chain. Which she is not doing well with. Beulah is not good around most males, fedex/UPS/USPS and small animals ie: chickens, cats, possums, racoons etc. Not sure how she does with livestock. She has PTSD before and during storms. She gets very anxious and feels the need to run. This is do to being in a flood. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She has previously had Lyme disease and been hit by a car.

Marsh is a 45 lb 2 yr old Australian Shepherd mix.  He is social, friendly, good with other dogs, and has been introduced to a cat as well.  He lived in a home with children prior to coming to the shelter and did fine with them.  He is currently enrolled in our prison training program to work on housetraining and enhance his obedience skills. And he will remain there until we find an approved adopter. He’s been a family pet and an indoor dog. He is a strong dog with an alpha personality.  He was attacked by a dog and now he would probably be best in a home as an only dog. Currently, he’s with a lot of other dogs, however when the dogs come running up to me, he perceives them as a threat and gets defensive. He may be a good personal protection dog. He does run and play in the field with five or 10 other dogs at a time and gets along with them just fine. If some of the dogs get to playing too rough, he intercedes to break them up. Again, he’s very strong, alpha dog. One on one he is super sweet, very affectionate and attention seeking. Extremely obedient with fantastic recall. He loves playing ball and hide and go seek! When he runs in the fields, I’ll go and hide behind trees and the minute he doesn’t see me comes looking. He is a lot of fun. If you’re interested, I can show you a page. I set up for potential adopters to see many videos of him. He is currently up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. This dog is located in Harrison or Arkansas with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue. Story

Ollie is very much like any Aussie. He needs space to run, has loads of energy and will be his best with something to challenge him, he’s ridiculously smart. Personally he is extremely affectionate, will push boundaries, and absolutely loves to play with other dogs, and will chase cats to play because he just can’t seem to get that they aren’t dogs too. I do not have a fenced in space, or the ability to give him all he needs. I took him in to get him out of an apt situation and resolve some behavioral issues from that. He’ll be amazing for the right family/person.
