Simon is a 7 month old Australian Shepherd. He is currently 30 lbs and will get larger.  He lived with multiple dogs prior to arriving at the shelter and currently does very well with the dogs he has been introduced here. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, tested negative for heartworm, and microchipped. He LOVES playing in the pools here, loves toys----he will require a home that is ready for a highly energetic dog. After a rough start to life, these Aussie mix puppies are thriving in their foster home. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.

Meet Darcie! Darcie is a 4.5-year-old Australian Shepherd who is a sweet and gentle girl looking for a very special home where she can take things at her own pace. She came to us from a difficult situation and is extremely shut down, so she will need a patient adopter who understands that building trust and confidence will take time. The good news is that Darcie is trying! In her foster home, she has been making small but meaningful steps forward as she learns what it means to feel safe and comfortable. She will need someone willing to celebrate those little victories and give her the time and space she needs to continue coming out of her shell. Darcie is not going to be the dog who immediately runs up looking for attention, but with patience, consistency, and a quiet home, we hope she will continue to discover how wonderful life can be. She does well with cats and would love a person willing to let her progress at her own pace. He can be protective of me and has shown aggressive behavior when someone gets close to me or when someone new enters the home. He has also reacted when I am holding my young niece. Because of this, I believe he would do best in a calm, structured home without young children and with an experienced owner who understands dogs and is willing to continue his training.This is a very difficult decision because Atlas is a great dog and I care deeply about him. Murphy started out more independent than his brother and still probably is a bit, but he also seeks out attention from time to time and can be very affectionate. Murphy looks more like pure Aussie than his brother, but he may still be mixed. We'd love Murphy and Mack to be adopted together. Bear is a great energetic boy, so sweet and loving. Loves cuddles. We are looking to rehome him as we are having another baby and 2 under 2 we don’t have much time for him and he deserves all the attention! He is house trained but not crate trained as we leave him out. He doesn’t use the bathroom in the house only times we have had accidents is when we are gone all day working. Both my partner and I. Which isn’t often we work same times! So overall no issues and such a sweet boy who deserves more outside time and attention.
