Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home. Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner. Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained. To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children. Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities. Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026. It’s obvious that Chet has STAR quality! Not only is he the most handsome guy around, but he is also a very affectionate dog and he is very smart. He went to puppy school as a youngster and learned his basic commands. He being on the receiving end of his human’s attention, snuggling with them on the couch, sleeping in the bed with them and he always gives kisses freely. He’s a lot of fun too… loves to play with toys, and if you’ll throw them, he will catch and retrieve balls and frisbees. Chet is a fairly quiet and a little shy and he want’s all of his human’s attention for himself. That being said, he needs to be the only dog in the home. He gets along with other dogs as long as they are laid back/submissive, but prefers not to live with them. He hasn’t been around little kids, but would be fine around older kids that would respect him and treat him with kindness. Chet will make a wonderful companion for some lucky family! He is three years old (dob 11/9/21) and weighs 40-45 pounds, has been neutered, micro-chipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400. Chet is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
