Story

Finnegan is a sweet boy - well behaved - yet, will be shy at first with new people, but not aggressively so. He always seems to enjoy children & other dogs. Finn has lived with cats in the past & was fine with them, although would not overly interact with them - except to sniff them briefly, as they might walk by. Unfortunately, he has had seizures in the past & now is given meds that have seemed to help greatly! Health concerns are not my reason for giving him up - 'it breaks my heart, to do so' - however, so many places to live at will not allow for pets/dogs especially. Finn has good energy for 10+ years - he's actually at a pretty perfect stage, right now, behavior wise. Even, his potty habits are great, really! Enjoys car rides & he gets around with no problems - and will interact with you, as you interact with him.

This happy-go-lucky gal is ready to find her forever home! Cleo is an estimated 2 year old, border collie/shepherd mix who first came to us in the winter of 22-23' as a stray. She was so unsocialized and scared of humans, but spent 6 months with us where we got to see her goofy, playful personality blossom before she was finally adopted. Unfortunately after another 6 months in a home it became evident that though Cleo can make canine friends through proper meet and greets, she just isn't comfortable sharing her space with them so she was returned to the shelter. As sad as we are to have her back, we are so proud to see how much more confidence she has gained and how she's grown.. Cleo is a ball of energy, always ready to run! She enjoys zooming around the yard and playing with her toys. Cleo's previous home had nothing but wonderful things to say about her - they praised her intelligence and obedience, said that she loves her crate, and is fully housebroken. She still takes a moment to warm up to new people, but once she does she is the sweetest girl. We know she's going to make a PERFECT companion for the right person who has patience with her as she transitions into a new home environment, is active, and has the time to dedicate to training her. She can't be placed in a home with cats, and would do best in an adult only home as the only pet.Cleo is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. ****NO ADOPTION FEE!!!!**** There is absolutely nothing wrong with Nellie Kate, but due to the fact that we need to make room for new fosters, adoptions are slow at the moment and Nellie Kate has been here a little longer than some, WE ARE NOT CHARGING AN ADOPTION FEE ON HER! You will still have to fill out an application and be approved though and if you live in the northern states that we adopt to, you will have to pay the $135 transport fee. I would say that her energy level is medium and she is playful, but she’s not so active that you can’t love on her. She’s a real love bug…she’ll even climb in your lap if you let her. She does pretty well on a leash and enjoys going on walks/hikes. Nellie Kate is looking for a great new family that will love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. She is 1 ½ years old (dob 5/13/22) and weighs 48 pounds at the time of this posting 1/16/24. She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested and is current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Nellie Kate is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Can you say adorable? I love this litter of six…they have got to be the cutest and friendliest puppies that I’ve fostered in a long time! They are super sweet, loveable and such happy puppies! Like most puppies their age, they have plenty of energy and they love to run and play with each other. They adore people, both grown-ups and kids and the attention they receive from them as well. My grandkids have really had a ball playing with them during their stay. Kara will make a great addition to some lucky family. Since they came from a shelter we can’t be 100% sure of their breeding, but the Animal Control Officer thought they were an Australian Shepherd/Terrier mix. Some of them have curled tails and they should be medium sized when fully grown. She was born on 12/16/23 making her 4 months old at the time of this posting (4/15/24) and weighing 22 pounds. She has been spayed, micro-chipped, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Kara is being fostered in Tennessee.
