Story
Finnegan is a sweet boy - well behaved - yet, will be shy at first with new people, but not aggressively so. He always seems to enjoy children & other dogs. Finn has lived with cats in the past & was fine with them, although would not overly interact with them - except to sniff them briefly, as they might walk by. Unfortunately, he has had seizures in the past & now is given meds that have seemed to help greatly! Health concerns are not my reason for giving him up - 'it breaks my heart, to do so' - however, so many places to live at will not allow for pets/dogs especially. Finn has good energy for 10+ years - he's actually at a pretty perfect stage, right now, behavior wise. Even, his potty habits are great, really! Enjoys car rides & he gets around with no problems - and will interact with you, as you interact with him.

Story
Meet Skylar! A 15 week old female mini Aussie ready for her furever home near Landenburg PA. Everyone says I have the most beautiful eyes, but my foster family thinks I am as beautiful on the inside as I am on the outside. Not only am I pretty but I’m a good listener too, especially when treats are involved. I even listen to my humans when they take me outside and tell me to go potty. They’d prefer that I let them know when I have to go but I forget. I like Playing with my 4-legged foster siblings (the barking and meowing kinds) it's my favorite thing to do. We take naps throughout the day and that is fine as long as I am snuggled up super close to one of my sisters. I am even good in my crate! Do you think I’d be a great addition to your family? I am up to date on all vaccines except rabies, which can be done after I’m 16 weeks, I have a negative fecal and got started on my flea/tick and heartworm prevention! If I sound perfect for your family, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which include registration and transfer to my new furever family and a REFUNDABLE $50 spay deposit that will be refunded upon proof of procedure. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Jonestown, PA Meet Kilo! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 60 lbs. He is neutered and microchipped, but isn’t up to date on shots or on heartworm prevention. Kilo is shy with strangers (especially men), but warms up after a while. He is good with kids, cats, and farm animals! He can be a little standoffish with men at first, but will warm up after a while. He is nervous around larger dogs. He has never lived with another dog before and will bark at other dogs out of fear, because he was attacked as a puppy. He may also need training on how to share toys/bones with another dog. However, he will eventually play with them once he warms up to them. Kilo is housebroken and crate-trained. He loves to go on runs/walks and play fetch! The owner is surrendering him because they are unable to provide the attention that he needs. If you think you can provide a great home for Kilo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Kilo. Story
Chet is a 3yr old rescued Australian Shepherd. He is very smart and active. He is very loving and sweet, gives hugs, lots of kisses and loves to play. We are looking to rehome him because we cannot overcome his issues with one of our dogs, Chet is reactive in the home setting around other dogs and he would excel in a home where he is the only pet. We have a special needs daughter so our time is consumed providing for her. Outside the home Chet is sociable with strangers when we go to stores or for a walk. He is leashed trained and has attend puppy and young adult school training. With the right fit we feel Chet will excel and be awesome in the right family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***COURTESY LISTING*** Hi, my name is NOVA-LYNN, I was Sadie prior to adoption and I am a twin.  My brother and I were in the same sack at Birth.  Rare but does happen.  I am an 8 month old Australian Shepherd/Boxer mix and am currently 25lbs.  My Mom is now looking to rehome me do to my jumpiness and I have knocked down her 2 yr old daughter and I am not fond of my Mother giving her more attention then me.  I am in the beginning stages of what some may call Separation Anxiety and I also have the Herding tendancy which is not good with the 2 year old.  I am a sweet, on the hyper side, leash trained, crate trained, house trained (I do have an occasional accident), love to go for car rides but I do get sick, love to play and be by your side or in your lap.  I love all people including kids just dont have the mannerisms for young children.  I need an active family and a fenced in yard would be great to help with my Energy level.  I know my basic commands and we are working on me not jumping. I am currently located in Dallastown, PA. If interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application at:   HTTPS://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org If you already have an approved application on file with us, email my Mom at: stacylynner@gmail.com   let her know 1.a little about your family members  2. what your day to day life looks like  3. when you would be able to meet me "Homeward Bound Animal Rescue are licensed and inspected by PA Dept. of Dog Law.  Our license numbers are 4914, 16902 and 16903"Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 7, 2024, 11:36 am
