Story
Ekko, is a nice dog and a goofball. He is active and would like some interaction. BUT he has some problems. He owns stuff and he wants to keep it. This dog needs to get to know and trust you, so no kids, cats and needs experienced adopters who have knowledge about resource guarding. Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Huntsville, AL Meet Liberty! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered and microchipped, but isn’t up to date on shots or on heartworm prevention. Liberty is good with kids and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around cats. Liberty bit the owner’s husband. This happened when her husband was trying to get him to go into another room. Liberty evaded him and went around the table and then underneath it. When he came out from under the table, her husband tried to steer him by his scruff (Liberty wasn’t wearing a collar) and re-direct him. That is when Liberty bit him. The owner is surrendering him because he bit her husband. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Liberty, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Liberty. Owner’s Contact Information: Nicole Herceg at nicemmert@gmail.com.

Story
This is beautiful Remi!Introducing REMI!!! We’ve been keeping this girl under wraps while she gets all her vetting done and we learn a little more about her.   She’s about 10 months old and she is full on puppy! She loves to run, jump, play, chew, cuddle, nap in weird positions, among other things.  She needs lots of room to run!!! This is a must! Fenced in yard and lots of outdoor space to play and romp around! She likes to dig and then lay in the hole where it’s nice and cool!   She is great with kiddos! She loves to jump on the trampoline with my kids and play in the sprinkler with them too!  She would do well with a playmate that is around the same age and size as her, or no other dogs. She is non-stop energy, older dogs and smaller dogs are probably not gonna think her antics are as funny as she thinks they are ‍She is crate trained and potty trained!! She’s still a little under weight but she’s getting there. She barks when new people come over, she’s still working on her manners in that area. We know she’s beautiful and everyone is gonna want to adopt her. Please read through this list and if your home MEETS HER NEEDS we’d love for you to apply at Russell Rescue TN.https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/Or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approvedThose beautiful blue eyes are looking out and saying will you please be my foster? She’s a 9 month old Aussie Shepherd! She’s been moved around a few times in her short life and just wants some stability! Can someone please open their heart and home to her? We just know she’s going to make a family so happy one day! Let’s give her that chance!Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step. Please complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/We do not have any paid staff members. We are 100% volunteer powered.
