Story
Ekko, is a nice dog and a goofball. He is active and would like some interaction. BUT he has some problems. He owns stuff and he wants to keep it. This dog needs to get to know and trust you, so no kids, cats and needs experienced adopters who have knowledge about resource guarding. Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Story
Meet the Rugby Litter! 7 boys in the litter - all adorable fluff balls. These boys will be large dogs. Momma is only about 30-35 lbs but we presume dad was a great pyrenees because all but Blax are golden / white, fluffy, and they are all large (Jonah is the smallest). Would guess when full grown most of these boys will be well over 50lbs. They are all super social, love to play with other dogs, have never met cats but surely would be fine with proper training. They all seem to have more of a Pyr / laid back but still fun and playful attitude. They are all cuddly and sweet. Strike is the most shy but comes out of his shell quickly. They are potty box trained and learning house training. They typically go all night in crates without accidents. These boys are all going to be fun and wonderful family dogs! They have their final puppy shots, rabies, bordatella, chip, and neuter the week of 3/25 and will be ready to go to their FURever homes as soon as they recover. Fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. If interested please submit an application at forrescue.net/dog-application

Story
Meet Winston, a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who is known for his friendly demeanor towards other dogs. His ability to bond and interact positively with other dogs is a testament to his social nature! Winston has reached his mature weight of 45-50 pounds and wears a long coat of chocolate and white. Winston deserves a loving home where he can continue to thrive and bring joy to those around him! He loves to be around people and play ball. He does not like cats though and that’s okay! Will you give Winston his forever home? (ME, 1/9/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  April 24, 2024, 2:47 pm

Story
Meet Trooper! He is truly a Trooper! This poor baby was hit by a car at 6 months old and after multiple opinions from multiple vets we knew we had to have his leg amputated. It hasn't phased him but it was a rough recovery for this active little guy. He knew the vet's office and staff as well as his foster mom and home for the first couple months! He is 100% healed, neutered, up to date on all shots, chipped, and ready for his FURever home. He is a border/aussie mix and therefore high energy. He runs like the wind and tries to herd all his foster brothers and sisters (some tolerate that better than others). He loves everyone and everything but has not been around cats. I think he would be fine with them once he learns but would need to be tested. Trooper is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and anyone interested would need to bring their other fur-babies (if possible) to meet him to ensure everyone gets along and it is a good fit for all. If you are interested in Trooper please fill out a non-binding application at forrescue.net/dog-application
