Story
Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 2, 2025, 12:59 pm

Story
This handsome boy is called Cooper and he is a young one year, 55 pound male Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix who is gorgeous and goofy.  This boy was formerly owned by a person who let him run loose (unsafe) and he was getting in to trouble on neighbors properties as he hung out at the chicken coop and he got in to trash cans just for fun.  Cooper just wanted to have something to do!  A job ya know?  He is such a loving boy and he really is good with other dogs and adores people.  He is not cat tested but can be if needed. As you can see he needs a little spiffing up with some groomer which will happen soon.  He is a deep rich mahogany color and has the softest, long wavy fur that just makes you want to sit and pet him for a while. Cooper with all his energy and desire to do things fun, needs a fenced yard and maybe just maybe you could offer him kids and another dog to occupy hours of fun and playtime.  He is smart as he is handsome.  Learning leash manners and he is willing to obey if you do the practice every day for a while.  This boy loves life and you will love Cooper.   If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Hi, everyone. My name is Special Stella, and I am a beloved, fun, well-trained 5 year old Yellow Lab/Aussie mix girl that is only 50 pounds and who is looking for a new home without young children.  I have been with my young couple, mom and dad.For the past four years, and I have been very happy and loved. And during that time, it was discovered that young energetic children made me nervous.   Now my mom and dad are having a baby and they say it would be best if I went to a home with no young young children and yeah, would be best.If I was the only dog unless I lived with a submissive male, that would not challenge me to be the top dog.   I have lived with a cat and my only bad habit is I love cat food. I am housebroken and crate, trained and leash trained, and I know commands. And I am a very good girl. That will be your buddy, rick riding around town and your suv or a pickup truck or going out on the lake in the boat for the summer months.  I'm really a good girl, but I just have 2 things that I probably do. Don't meet in my life and that is a dominant dog around me and young children. That are you being what god made them to be,  young, energetic and loud and sometimes a little too quick to make movements that make me nervous.   We are all heartbroken that I have to find a new home. Critter Cavalry promised my Dad, who originally adopted me just to be his buddy before he got married, that they would help me find the perfect place for me to live out the next ten years or more of my life.   I promise to be the best companion you've ever had.   Please consider me to come and live with you and watch TV. At your feet or go for hikes. In the woods or just take naps in the afternoon on a lazy Winter day.  I am fully vetted and microchipped and come with great dog manners and very few bad habits. Unless you have a cat and I try to eat their food.  Please consider me and write to Critter.Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Tell them where you live: city and state.   They are based in Tennessee and not only adoot to Tennessee, but also transport to the Northeast.    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
We call this most handsome Blue Merle Aussie boy, Ollie-with-a-Twist….Ollie for short.  A year ago we found out about this special boy who had been sitting in a very small, dark and not so clean shelter in Middle Tennessee.  He cowered in the corner with some of the other dogs who tragically had been living with a hoarder who neglected and emotionally abused the dogs.  Ollie is just scared.  He is not aggressive and over the past year since he came to live with our special foster mom, Amy, he has finally learned to trust and to ask for pets and a few close snuggles on the sofa.  These simple moments of affection I think we all take for granted from our dogs.  But for some dogs like Ollie, the human touch is terrifying.  It takes so much love and patience to wait them out till they find the trust.  The trust has come for Ollie and his foster mom, Amy, feels that he is ready to take the cautious step to go to a home where he can trust and love someone forever.  Someone with the same determination to give Ollie the chance to be snuggly and ask for attention as he finally has done with his foster mom.  It won’t take so long.  He now knows that he can trust a person and will quickly learn to trust a new, kind soul that wants him to be their treasure.  He is 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds tops.  We know he is not the normal, happy go lucky boy, but he is special and will help you with your resolve to give him your unconditional love and time to come around.  He must have a fenced yard and we think it best for him to have another dog in the family that is grounded and self-assured and a mentor to lead the way for him to be more trusting.  Examples are important for shy dogs.  Perhaps it can be a family affair.  Older children, or an empty nesting couple or a single person that is home a lot.  All sorts of environments can work but we will know quickly if yours can be considered.  What is most important is your heart to help him find his forever home in your heart.  He is housebroken but a doggie door is best for him to use if you can provide that, totally crate trained and such a good boy.  Just a tragic early life that is slowly melting away from his memory.  If you are interested in Ollie-with-a-Twist please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  We will welcome a dialogue and details freely given to all your questions. He is crated at night and whenever I leave the house for longer than an hour. Ollie needs a family with a lot of patience. It takes a little while for him to warm up to people. He has only just started coming to me for pets and scratches in the last few months. In the mornings, if I crawl into bed after all the dogs come in from outside, he will crawl into bed and lay next to me begging for me to pet him. He rolls onto his back and nudges me. He is quite insistent. Sometimes he will come over to me on the couch for some love. Ollies likes to eat apples. I share apples with the dogs. He will eat carrots and he loves Salmon. I share my weekly salmon with the dogs. Ollie does like walks. He walks well on a leash, however, the walks we go on are short because of his fear of open spaces. Short walks that slowly get longer are key here.  He also likes to go. He tolerates car rides well and wants to go whenever he thinks I'm leaving. He will make a great travel buddy.  Ollie can jump almost any baby gate and he does know the command 'stay'.    I think the best home for Ollie would be either a home without children and maybe 1 other dog or a family with older children - 12 and up. I think having another dog will be beneficial to Ollie. Seeing the interaction between humans and their dog helps Ollie trust them more. I think Ollie has learned a lot from me and my dogs. Ollie doesn't accept treats from the hand yet, but maybe in time he will. I haven't been able to train any obedience because he isn't food motivated. He does like toys, but plays only with the other dogs and not me... yet. There is potential there. He is super smart. He just has to get past his fears.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
