Hi. We've lived in the Hill Country for the past 8 years, and every year, abandoned dogs find their way to our home—wounded, scared, and exposed to predators like coyotes, hawks, and wild cats. From the beginning, we’ve opened our hearts and protected many. This November, 5 more arrived. We’ve done our best, but we can’t keep them all—we’ve already adopted two. This sweet girl came recently. The vet says she’s about 1 and half year old and was already SPAYED. She’s deeply affectionate, loyal, and simply wants love and safety. If something in your heart feels ready, this is a beautiful chance to give her the home she deserves.. We can meet halfway if needed. Zoey is 3 to 4 years old. She is an Australian Shepherd mix. We are fostering her from a friend, they have a newborn and working nights and unfortunately not able to care for Zoey as needed. We would like someone is looking for someone who can give her a better life. She is very affectionate and very sweet. She is highly intelligent and plays well with other dogs. She knows a lot of tricks and commands. She does have some anxiety due to spending some time in the crate, and also does not like to be left alone too long outside. We are looking for a family or someone who wants a best friend to go on adventures with! She is very energetic and having a playmate will be a plus!

Shelter staff describe her as house-trained and a loose-leash walker, making her a great candidate for someone looking for a dog who already has a head start on home manners. Zayda can be a little shy when she first enters a new situation, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side comes out. During her initial shelter playgroup evaluation, she greeted the other dogs appropriately, relaxed into loose, happy zoomies, and began actively inviting them to play. 🐾 Meet Dinah! 🖤🤍 Dinah is a petite 6-month-old Border Collie mix who absolutely blossomed in her short-term foster home! We heard she was shy, but apparently she left her shy side at the shelter. 😂 This sweet girl has fantastic house manners — ZERO potty accidents, slept through the night in her crate, and happily snoozed at her foster’s feet during the workday. She’s playful and energetic but settles nicely when it’s time to relax. Dinah also has excellent doggy social skills! She played hard with dogs who wanted to play and respectfully left the less playful dogs alone. She redirects easily to toys, isn’t mouthy with people, and showed no toy guarding. She’s an active, enthusiastic youngster who would love a yard or active family to keep up with her adventures. Smart, petite, dog-friendly and full of personality — Dinah is ready to find her family! ❤️
