Story
Dexter is new to us, so we're still getting to know him. So far we know that he is a curious and playful pup who will love people endlessly. Dexter is a little too big and enthusiastic to be around cats, but has done well with livestock! He's a little picky when it comes to dog friends, but he's good with people of all ages. Dexter's favorite things are car rides, fetch, toys, walks, and playing in water! He is also housetrained.

Story
Violet is a 4-year-old, ~60 lb mixed-breed dog with a sweet, sensitive, and curious personality. Once comfortable, she enjoys being close to her person and loves affection, including hugs and snuggling. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. Violet is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, recently had a full yearly vet checkup (including bloodwork and heartworm testing), and is on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. She enjoys enrichment activities, playing tug-of-war, her favorite balls, and chew toys. Violet thrives in a calm, predictable environment and is currently working with a professional trainer while on a veterinary-guided plan to help manage anxiety and reactivity. She needs to be the only pet in an adult-only home. She may bark at new people at first but settles with time. She has no history of biting and is looking for a patient, understanding home.

Story
I got Martellus in 2019 when he was just 3 months old. He's lived in Austin, Los Angeles and New Orleans. Like most Aussie's, he's very smart (understanding words and commands), loves having a job and is always checking on his people. He's very loving and likes to cuddle. Likes taking his walks in the morning and/or evening. And very playful with other dogs. Reason for rehoming him is: I work as a film producer and so must travel for months at a time and over the past two years, I've been gone for up to 6 months out of the year. It's just become unfair to him and created some behavioral issues (very protective of me around strangers) which has led to him starting to nip and try to bite at people he doesn't know. Which makes getting other to watch him or boarding difficult. He's my best friend and so I know he can be someone else's as well, just given my current situation I can't give him the care, love and attention he deserves.

Story
Sadie is approximately 5 years old. She was found 2 years ago in Onion Creek Park. She is the sweetest dog with her owners but living in a park for undetermined time has created some quirks and anxiety for which she has medicine for. She is most happy laying on the couch or in bed with her owner receiving attention. She will paw at you if she’s not getting enough attention. Sadie gets along with dogs in a large setting but can get territorial in smaller settings like an apartment’s dog park and the home. Sadie would do best as a solo pet in a home for a single person or couple with a yard and the time to work with her. She would also do well with another dog to play with but would need to learn to share attention. She knows basic commands and has some recall, she is decent with mat training and hand targets. Sadie is an absolute sweetheart that just wants to be loved all the time, she just has some quirks that require patience and work.

Story
This is Dixie a one year old full Australian Shepard. Dixie is extremely high energy and she needs to go to a home who has extra time for her and a large lot. Dixie can run for hours then she will nap next or on you for hours. Dixie gets along with all animals but does get jealous and wants to be the center of attention. Dixie needs to go to someone who is retired or works part time as she should not be left alone for over 8 hours. She is up to date on everything and fixed. She is huge cuddler and likes to stay near. Dixie does bark and is a huge alert dog. If someone is trying to break in she will let you know. Dixie is NOT leash trained as we tried for months she just hasn’t figured it out and wants to just run. She will bark at any new animals but will warm up fast. If you have pets we ask they are also higher energy as she will want to play. Dixie gets sick in the car but you can get pills at the vet before long car rides that will prevent that. She would make a great companion.

Story
Zoey is 3 to 4 years old. She is an Australian Shepherd mix. We are fostering her from a friend, they have a newborn and working nights and unfortunately not able to care for Zoey as needed. We would like someone is looking for someone who can give her a better life. She is very affectionate and very sweet. She is highly intelligent and plays well with other dogs. She knows a lot of tricks and commands. She does have some anxiety due to spending some time in the crate, and also does not like to be left alone too long outside. We are looking for a family or someone who wants a best friend to go on adventures with! She is very energetic and having a playmate will be a plus!
