Zayda is a sweet, playful puppy with some excellent real-life skills already under her belt. Shelter staff describe her as house-trained and a loose-leash walker, making her a great candidate for someone looking for a dog who already has a head start on home manners. Zayda can be a little shy when she first enters a new situation, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side comes out. During her initial shelter playgroup evaluation, she greeted the other dogs appropriately, relaxed into loose, happy zoomies, and began actively inviting them to play. Foxy is 45 lbs. Dont expect her to get much bigger. She is sweet, affectionate, and playful. She has been spayed. She is definitely a herding breed. She loves water. Playing and jumping in it. She is good with other dogs. She doesn't react to my 3 dogs when introduced. She is more excited about seeing bigger dogs, than little dogs. (We have two 11 lb chiweenies and a 125lb Corso) She seemed calm also when close to a foster kitten we had for a few weeks so assuming she would learn to be fine with a cat with slow introductions. She has a prey drive though, wants to chase rabbits and birds and frogs and crickets. Loves to grab sticks, leaves but also trash. Gotta watch her, she may chew on things while still in puppy phase. Only use metal bowls with her, when not supervised. She is crate trained and potty trained. She knowingly can hold it for 8-10 hrs. She's learning to sit and lay down. She's learning fetch. She loves to go out on walks, but she still pulls some with her high energy. Always better at the end of the walks, after she's more worn out. Would most likely be a great jogging partner or walking partner or good in multi-dog family. Needs a yard or regular exercise. A handglove hair brush will be your best friend. She loves getting rubbed down and petted all over. It helps so much with the shedding and keeps her looking great. Sooooooo fluffy and soft. She is pretty good about nail trimmings. Keeping it slow and playful with pets, in between clipping nails, helps her be a willing participant. She was food aggressive at first, but not anymore. She is a super sweet girl. She is calm and will wait to be told to eat. Will let me take the bowl away, stick my hand in the bowl while eating, or pet her while eating. She may stop eating but doesn't react. She is very gentle about taking treats from the hand too. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 46 Age: 0yrs 11mths 1wks
