Hi. We've lived in the Hill Country for the past 8 years, and every year, abandoned dogs find their way to our home—wounded, scared, and exposed to predators like coyotes, hawks, and wild cats. From the beginning, we’ve opened our hearts and protected many. This November, 5 more arrived. We’ve done our best, but we can’t keep them all—we’ve already adopted two. This sweet girl came recently. The vet says she’s about 1 and half year old and was already SPAYED. She’s deeply affectionate, loyal, and simply wants love and safety. If something in your heart feels ready, this is a beautiful chance to give her the home she deserves.. We can meet halfway if needed. Thank you for helping us give this loving soul a second chance! ❤️

Meet Giselle—a beautiful name for an absolutely gorgeous girl! 💖 This sweet 5.5-month-old, 30 lb Shepherd mix arrived at the shelter as a timid young stray over a month ago. In her kennel, she was quiet and shy, keeping her ears tucked down low. Today, one of our awesome volunteers swooped her up for her first outing to P. Terry's Burger Stand in Bastrop, and look at those ears stand right up! 🍔 Giselle had the time of her life discovering the world outside her kennel! 🌟 🦮 Fast Learner: New to the leash, but catching on quickly! 🌿 Playful & Polite: Loved playing in the grass, but settled down nicely when it was time to relax. 🐶 Dog Friendly: Offered lots of happy tail wags and zero barks when she spotted nearby pups! 🍔 Foodie Girl: She was completely taken with her burger—making her wonderfully food-motivated and ready for fun training! 💖 Pure Love: Incredibly affectionate and just wanted to stay close to her human friend..... and not just for the burger. 🍔😍 Giselle’s true, happy personality is officially shining through, and she is so ready to write her next chapter in a forever home! 🏠✨ Come meet this sweet baby doll and let her steal your heart! 🏃‍♀️💨 DON'T MAKE HER WAIT..... Young pups need to be part of a family!

He does not like to be left alone for longer than a few hours and does not like to be kenneled in the home (though he is fine at the groomer). He also sometimes assumes packages dropped off in the yard are meant for him to play with. He needs more time and work than we have, but he will be an amazing companion to the right person. We want the very best for him and will keep him with us until we find his new home.

Zayda is a sweet, playful puppy with some excellent real-life skills already under her belt. Shelter staff describe her as house-trained and a loose-leash walker, making her a great candidate for someone looking for a dog who already has a head start on home manners. Zayda can be a little shy when she first enters a new situation, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side comes out. During her initial shelter playgroup evaluation, she greeted the other dogs appropriately, relaxed into loose, happy zoomies, and began actively inviting them to play.
