Story
I adopted cooper from the cowlitz county humane society back in 2021 and he was 10 months old. He is a very good boy, loves attention and belly rubs. He is not food picky and is 100% kennel trained. He prefers a companion so he isn’t home alone. He can get rather whiney from flying solo. He does nose around the trash can so I’d recommend securing that. I am reluctantly rehoming him because we have two others and a one year old running around. He isn’t getting the attention or exercise he needs or wants.

Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is located in San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to your location through Your Tx Rescue Connection transport service. The fee includes adoption fee and transportation fee.

Story
I'm part of a bonded pair! Check out Aspen: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/46692145-yelm-washington-australian-shepherd-mix This is one of the hardest decisions as a military family. Tux, has been part of our family since day one. We unexpectedly received military orders to move overseas this spring and will be required to live on-base in a small staircase apartment with no yard or balcony. With military trainings, solo parenting weeks, and the changes in our daily life, it'll be hard for us to give him the care he’s used to. Tux is healthy, house-trained, and friendly to everyone—he loves car rides. He is curious, and very smart, he’s vocal when he wants attention, food, or to go potty. Tux and Aspen have been lifelong besties; we hope they can stay together, but will consider the right home for both. We’re looking for a loving, active home. We’re not in a rush—finding the right fit matters most. If you’re a good match, we’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet. ❤️
