Story
Australian Shepherd/ Lab is the closest breed we can guess on her. Sorry we don't have good photos of sweet Sally. She was in foster in Texas since a puppy! She is totally trained with playing with a playgroup of dogs several times/day. Finally her turn at about 2 years to be adopted. ! House and potty trained!!! woof woof. Affectionate sweet loving dog. She is a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. Has done great with other all other dogs even young puppies when done with proper introductions. She is with a rescue that is friends of Lufkin TX Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter friends. loving sweet sweet pup t is nearly impossible to say the breeds but her brother did have some Great Pyrenees in his DNA test. All of her siblings were adopted as puppies, its long been Sally's time to find her FOREVER home. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ If interested we would have you speak with her rescuer. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!

Story
Atlas is a very energetic and playful dog once he gets to know you. He can take a little while to fully warm up to new people, but he is very friendly and social when meeting other dogs. We’ve noticed that Atlas doesn’t handle change very well and needs some extra time and patience when adjusting to new people and environments. We believe Atlas experiences some anxiety, and we’ve been working with him to help him feel more comfortable around others, especially in our large family. He is crate trained, although his anxiety tends to be most noticeable when he is in his crate. Atlas isn’t particularly food-motivated, but he absolutely thrives when it comes to play. He knows basic commands and does well with them when he is calm and fully focused on you. Overall, Atlas is a sweet, playful dog who does best with patience, consistency, and time to build trust. We would love for him to find a home with a lot of patience and time to give him the proper attention he deserves.

Story
Jack is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd with a big heart, lots of energy, and an affectionate, playful personality. He loves walks, fetch, chew toys, dog bones, cuddling, and being the center of attention, and his signature Aussie “butt wiggle” is sure to make you smile. Due to limited socialization with his first two owners, he struggles with other dogs and would do best as the ONLY pet in a patient, experienced home. He thrives on companionship and would especially benefit from a household with two or more people who can share in giving him the attention, structure, and ongoing socialization he needs. Jack is neutered, healthy, knows basic commands like sit and high five, and is eager to continue learning. While I love him dearly, I’m unable to provide the time and consistency he deserves, and I’m committed to finding him a safe, loving forever home where he can truly thrive. Please reach out by email or leave a voicemail if you're interested, I will respond as soon as possible :)

Story
Meet Piper – Your Loyal, Playful Companion! Piper is a 65-pound sweetheart living in Portland, OR, and born ~10/1/2023. With a calm, playful personality and a heart full of love, she’s happiest when she’s near her people—with a toy in her mouth and a smile on her face. She’s affectionate, confident, and friendly with people and can be neutral to social towards animals when properly introduced. Piper does great with cats, most dogs, and even livestock (though chickens may need supervision). She loves playing with familiar dog friends, and while she’s still learning how to manage her excitement on leash, she’s making great progress. Strange dogs can cause some leash reactivity to resurface. Piper is house-trained, not destructive, and enjoys car rides, swimming, and outdoor adventures. She’s food-motivated, knows basic commands, and is working on her leash manners. She gives the best welcome-home hugs—standing on her back legs to nuzzle your face like she missed you all day. Her ideal home? A calm environment with someone home most of the time, maybe with another dog and room to roam. She’d thrive with an outdoorsy person or couple who’ll take her hiking or swimming. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key adventure buddy with a heart of gold, Piper is ready to be your new best friend.
