Story
Bowie is a mini Australian Shepherd mix. He is a high energy, sweet and loving dog. He loves his snuggles!! He loves to catch ball! He is a working dog and needs someone who has the time to spend with him to keep him busy. He wants to please his owner. He currently lives with 2 small dogs and a cat that he grew up with and gets along well with. He loves to play. We are not sure how he would do with other strange animals since he has not been regularly socialized with other animals. He does well with older children. He is a high energy dog that requires a lot of attention that we do not have time to give him. He is such a smart dog that is willing to learn. We are hoping to find the right person who will have the time to do this.

Story
Carly is being fostered in PA. Carly is a joyful and happy pup! You would never know that she is 8 years old. She loves playing fetch and tug of war. She has the cutest wiggle butt when she is excited! She is loyal to her people and just wants to be near them. She walks great on a leash and loves walks in the neighborhood. She is also a great jogging partner! She was quick to learn how to go up and down stairs. She is an energetic girl who needs to be exercised and engaged with daily. She likes to sleep in her bed on the floor beside her human. She gets along well with other dogs but due to issues with food possession, she will need to be fed separately if around other dogs. Carly is a double merle. In addition to being blind, she is also losing her hearing, possibly due to age. Carly tested positive for Lyme's Disease and whipworms since coming to her foster house but has started treatment for both and is already doing better! Although she does not see clearly, she sees better in bright light and can see some shadows and motion. Carly is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She's housebroken and leash trained and would benefit from a fenced in yard. Carly is outgoing and good with people of all ages. She's also good with both male and female dogs and cats. She is the sweetest girl and would make a great addition to any family! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Stevie Wonder is being fostered in NH. Stevie is definitely bigger than his brother and a little fluff ball! His personality is calm and gentle. He likes to be held, cuddled, pet and talked to. When he hears your voice he tilts his head side to side and his little tail wags! He is doing well with potty training. He knows to pee and poop outside but still has accidents in the house. He seems to prefer sleeping in his crate for comfort, but is also fine sleeping and being outside his crate. He enjoys all the snuggles of his foster family's toddler, and seems curious and loving towards his foster family's senior dog. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Yup, my name speaks for itself. They say the other senses get stronger and my loving nature and big revealing smile are fantastic rewards unto themselves! I'm a smart, athletic, happy-so-lucky pup who's looking to bring Aussie charm to a lucky forever home. I'm such a happy deserving gal. Who needs to hear or see out of both eyes when you have all the doggone love in the world to offer? Medical History: I am blind in one eye and deaf, but otherwise am a healthy girl!Adoption Fee: $375If you'd like to meet me, click the "Learn About the Adoption Process" button below to plan a visit to the shelter!

Bogart is an 18 week old, Australian Shepherd mix. Bogart is a handsome boy that was brought into a shelter as an abandoned puppy. He is an active guy and very smart. It appeared to us almost immediately that he was deaf, although working with him, we have come to realize that he does hear some higher pitched verbal commands when there isn't a lot of background noise. He loves going for walks and is making great strides with his sit command using hand signals. He still has that puppy energy and with the right owner to teach him as he grows, he will be an outstanding dog. He is great with other dogs and with kids. A fenced in yard would be ideal with his hearing loss. Bogart is a sweet and social puppy. He currently weighs 25 pounds. As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. MY ADOPTION FEE is $450.00 We thank you for ADOPTING A HOOVERS HAUSE RESCUE DOG..... every dog adopted allows us to open our homes to save another!
