Story
She loves her crate and takes all meals in the crate, sleeps in it at night, and will often go into it to rest during the day even if she has other options. Likes being in the yard and finding leaves and sticks, but is also happy to be inside. Likes to chew but has not chewed on anything she shouldn't. She will occasionally engage with other toys, although she needs the tougher ones. She walks pretty well on a leash and has done well on walks, hikes, and begrudgingly will go for a short run.  We believe that she would be fine in a home with other dogs as long as she is allowed to be the alpha. Rizzo gets along great with all dogs and Rizzo and Daffy really like each other and play/wrestle constantly. However, she loves people so much that she would be fine as an only dog. (She has never shied away from anyone visiting our house.) On the few occasions we have taken her to the dog park and used the small/separate dog run, she hasn't cared about the other dogs and is more interested in looking for sticks. We believe her ideal home would have a good sized fenced in yard, and someone around more days than not. ##2487343##

Peyton, female, 7mo old Aussie mix, weighs 33lbs Peyton's story is like many abandoned dogs. She was brought in as a puppy with an injured front leg. She underwent surgery and despite this hardship, she has healed and is a happy go lucky girl that is dreaming of a home for Christmas. Her beautiful markings turn heads anywhere she goes. Peyton was understandably shy when first brought in but has blossomed into a loving and affectionate dog. She won't have the capabilities of being a running partner or an agility dog, but if you are looking for a true blue family dog that will be best friends with the kids and other dogs, Peyton is perfect. She is definitely one that is worth getting an application for!
