Story
Ditto is the sweetest little pup with a butt that never stops wiggling. She came to us as a puppy mill release, and is slowly starting to come out of her shell. Ditto would do well with a patient family willing to help her continue building her confidence. She will require a good amount of socialization and basic training to keep her brain busy. As an aussie, she's incredibly smart and would love to do dog sports in some capacity, but she also enjoys a good snuggle! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at sftsrescue.org/adoptableanimals

Story
My dogs name is Mickelson. He is a 40 lb Australian Shepherd and is 7 years old. Mickelson has completed a lot of training, most recently with Sit Means Sit. Hes extremely intelligent, but this also comes with high anxiety. We live in an apartment and recently blended our families. Unfortunately, Mickelson has become overly protective, showing aggressive behavior. Mick needs space to run and an adopter who can spend time on walks, hikes, and play. Mickelson is reactive to other dogs and people when they are near our home or in new situations. However, he does well on walks, and we get him out as much as we can. Mickelson needs to be re-socialized. I believe he could do well in a home with other dogs, but it will be a process. Wed love to find a quiet home with an active individual or couple who can exercise Mickelson and give him the attention he needs. We believe Mick would be amazing at agility training/competitions, we simply have not had the time to enter. Mick needs a job!

Nash, male 9mo old, Australian Shepherd mix, weighs 42lbs Nash is a handsome, fun boy. He came to us as an owner who surrendered to no real fault of his own. Nash is smart and enjoys getting out and about. He was not getting the exercise he needed.  He is hoping for a family that likes to get outside, go hiking, or even better yet, an owner that will tap into his intelligence and maybe do some agility training!  He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with kids. He knows his basic commands, is house trained and crate trained. This gorgeous boy would love an active family that understands that Australian Shepherds are not couch potatoes. Nash is an affectionate loyal companion.   We are located at S47 W30760 State Road 59, North Prairie, WI As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. Story
Finnigan & Gunner: The best of friends.Finnigan and Gunner are both 4yr old Australian Shepherds, weighing around 40#. They came from a terrible puppy mill/hoarding situation, where they were kept in a small pen with SEVENTEEN, yes, seventeen other dogs. They were terrified, and very dependent on one another to make it through- which is exactly what they've done! These handsome boys have absolutely blossomed! They're loving, playful, and incredibly smart boys. They love to do everything together, or one on one with their person. They do, however, still look to one another for comfort as Gunner still gets a little nervous sometimes. This bonded pair is great with other dogs, perfect gentlemen on a leash, crate trained (They put themselves in), and are great on car rides. You honestly couldn't ask for a better pair. ❤️ The boys are now healthy, and ready to make the trip up north, in search of their new family! Do you think that could be you?Gunner: Gunner is a 4yr old Australian Shepherd, weighing approx 40#. Gunner is a total gentleman on a leash, fully crate trained, and does well with other dogs! He loves to go on walks, and car rides, to explore and spend time with his people! Gunner came from a puppy mill/hoarding situation, where he was in a small pen with seventeen other dogs. Yes, you read that correctly! Gunner is an extremely loving boy, but does still get nervous with new things at times. With a little patience, and proper introduction, this boy will make you the greatest best friend!Finnigan: Finnigan is a 4yr old Australian Shepherd weighing approx 40#. Finnigan came from a puppymill/hoarding situation, where he was in a small pen with seventeen- yes, seventeen, other dogs. He has absolutely blossomed in his foster home, and has come a long way with his confidence. He does still get nervous at times, but does great with proper intros and a little patience!
