Story
Gracie is a beautiful 5.5 yr old Australian Shepherd. She was a local surrender to our rescue due to no fault of her own, sometimes dogs just need to right environment to thrive! She has been fostered with our family for a little while now and we adore her! Her greatest attribute is her cuddliness and love of people! And her floofy butt 😅Her Aussie intelligence shines! She will instantly come when called and is quickly corrected if she jumps up and will sit like a good girl. She is house and kennel trained and we are working on leash manners. She tolerates our cats but will chase them if they run, so dog savvy cats are a must in her new home. She loves to be outside playing fetch. Due to her breed, she requires activities that will be mentally stimulating. She would love agility courses, enrichment toys and a fenced yard to run and play! Small children make her nervous as she previously lived with toddlers that would pull her hair and not respect her space. For this reason, we are recommending older kids that will allow her to feel comfortable and respected. Gracie had previously lived with another dog with no issues but wasn’t properly introduced to other dogs outside of the home. This is something that she is working very hard on adjusting to and will take some training as she just gets so excited and can come off very strong. Her instincts seem to kick in when she’s overly excited so breed experience to help her learn about more appropriate interactions with other confident dogs will be important!Overall Gracie is a very sweet girl that just wants to play, cuddle, keep her mind busy and please her person ❤️Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue. Story
Hello! Oakley is 5 years old and was adopted from Texas. He is a great dog but unfortunately is unpredictable with kids and we have a 1 year old now. He is very vocal and also unpredictable with dogs, some he loves and some he hates. Overall, I cannot have a dog that is 100% safe with children. Please help me find a safe and happy home for Oakley!
