Story
Finnigan & Gunner: The best of friends.Finnigan and Gunner are both 4yr old Australian Shepherds, weighing around 40#. They came from a terrible puppy mill/hoarding situation, where they were kept in a small pen with SEVENTEEN, yes, seventeen other dogs. They were terrified, and very dependent on one another to make it through- which is exactly what they've done! These handsome boys have absolutely blossomed! They're loving, playful, and incredibly smart boys. They love to do everything together, or one on one with their person. They do, however, still look to one another for comfort as Gunner still gets a little nervous sometimes. This bonded pair is great with other dogs, perfect gentlemen on a leash, crate trained (They put themselves in), and are great on car rides. You honestly couldn't ask for a better pair. ❤️ The boys are now healthy, and ready to make the trip up north, in search of their new family! Do you think that could be you?Gunner: Gunner is a 4yr old Australian Shepherd, weighing approx 40#. Gunner is a total gentleman on a leash, fully crate trained, and does well with other dogs! Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 6/24/2024 Dog Name: Kiwi Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Koolie Approximate Age: 8 months to 1 year Approximate Weight: 25 lbs Description:  Kiwi was a stray found in Texas who found her self on death row, this gorgeous sweet girl deserves a chance! She is affectionate and she is hoping to get a second chance at life! She has a soft unique coat, stunning blue eyes and will stay a small/medium size.  Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. July 24, 2024, 8:24 am

Story
Ditto is the sweetest little pup with a butt that never stops wiggling. She came to us as a puppy mill release, and is slowly starting to come out of her shell. Ditto would do well with a patient family willing to help her continue building her confidence. She will require a good amount of socialization and basic training to keep her brain busy. As an aussie, she's incredibly smart and would love to do dog sports in some capacity, but she also enjoys a good snuggle! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at sftsrescue.org/adoptableanimals
