Willow is ready to love you forever. 💗
This two-year-old sweetheart has come so far since being rescued from a tough start in life. Just before her scheduled BOAS surgery, Willow went into respiratory distress and had to be emergency intubated. Thanks to incredible veterinary care and her loving foster, Willow has made a full recovery, and her vibrant personality is beginning to shine.
Willow is a happy, affectionate girl who adores people, other dogs, and the great outdoors. She’s got a gentle, cuddly side... but don’t be fooled, she also has a hilarious, playful streak that emerges during her zoomie-filled afternoons! She’s curious and brave, and while she can be a little stubborn or cautious in new environments, she bounces back quickly with support.
She’s currently living with two male dogs and has shown excellent social skills: playful with the younger one, and respectful of her 15-year-old foster sibling’s boundaries. She enjoys greeting neighbors and politely saying hello to new dogs, even in the elevator!
Willow is fully house-trained, sleeps soundly in her cozy pen, and is working on basic manners. She’s excellent on leash, though she sometimes insists on sniffing that one spot just a little longer. Her skin and breathing have continued to improve with regular care, and her adopter should be prepared to maintain her skinfold cleaning routine and monitor her breathing during periods of heat or high exertion.
