My husband and I purchased Chapo, a lilac and tan English Bulldog, from a breeder in May 2022. Chapo was very social and friendly. After my husband‘s hospital stay and rehabilitation at home, Chapo became overly attached and protective of me and insecure around other dogs and some people. He began to act out at home, taking towels, pieces of clothing and or toys and becoming aggressive when attempting to take the items back. Most of the time he is a very loving dog who loves snuggling and fetching his frisbee. He needs a fresh start at a loving home with an owner with more patience, experience and energy to train him than I have the capacity to give him at this time. He has been loved enormously. My heart breaks having to rehome him. The hope is that he goes to a home that is knowledgeable about the bulldog breed and the needs they have compared to other dogs.

Hi there, I’m Cowboy 🤠 I’m a 10-year-old, 60-pound neutered bulldog/pitbull mix with a big heart and an easygoing soul. Even though I spent most of my life as an outdoor dog, I’ve discovered that I really love the good life indoors—and I’ve taken to it like a pro. I landed at the South LA Animal Shelter on Valentine’s Day (yep, a lover boy through and through ), was later transferred to West LA, and then headed to my foster home on 12/23. Since then, I’ve been showing everyone just how sweet and wonderful I am. In fact, I’m such a pleasant, easy foster that even my foster dad—who is very picky about foster dogs—is totally happy having me stay! I’m completely house-trained and very polite in the home. I walk right into my open crate to snooze, sleep through the night without a single peep, and I rarely bark—only if something really unexpected startles me. I love to play fetch, chew on (and sometimes enthusiastically destroy) toys, and I can happily entertain myself when needed. I adore my female foster fur-sister and cover her in smooches all day long. I’m playful, affectionate, and full of love. I’m also great with teenagers and their friends, friendly with strangers, and just an all-around good guy. I even love water play—splashing is a blast! I know a few commands already and I’m eager to keep learning. I do pull on leash right now, but I wear a good harness and will be working with a trainer to polish my walking skills. I haven’t met any cats yet, so that’s still to be determined. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, well-mannered companion with a heart of gold and a face you can’t help but smile at, I might just be your guy. I’m ready to be someone’s forever Cowboy. Meet Terra! Here is what her foster has to say about her: Terra has a signature underbite, it is the cutest thing! Her nickname is TiTi! STORY TIME! When we first started fostering her, we bought her a stuffy, it was a little white dog just like her. She loved it and would carry it with her on our walks, constantly dropping it to smell and then forgetting all about it until I picked it up. Then she'd carry it again, drop it, and we do that bit over and over again. One day I just happened to say "where's your baby?" and she ran and got her stuffy. So every day now, when someone comes home, she runs, grabs a stuffy and proudly brings us her "baby", but we aren't allowed to hold it. She just wants us to acknowledge her baby! How precious is she?! Terra makes herself comfy by sitting on your feet, which is not bad on cold days...instant foot warmer! She's a big love bug and likes just about every human she meets! She loves catching balls or really any toy you can toss to her, only downfall is she doesn't want to give it back so you have to wait for her to drop it so you can throw it again. She can even catch those tiny training treats from far away! On walks, if you accidentally drop the leash, she stops and waits for you to pick it up before we proceed. She is very tolerant of other dogs on our walks, does not seem to care. She does live with two little 20 pound dogs, and does great. She has no resource guarding and doesn't care if the littles try to take her food, treats, or toys. She patiently waits for them to be done. She is great in the car, and housebroken. She was crate trained but we have not needed to crate her since our other foster was adopted. If you have read this far... What are you waiting for? Kilo is a 5 year old English bulldog who is 55lbs. He is friendly around majority of people and a playful boy. He hasn’t been around children or cats, but he isn’t very friendly with other dogs but can be scared of them sometimes. With more positive exposure, we're sure he will build more confidence around them. Kilo walks well on leash, though being a typical bulldog, he gets stubborn and won’t walk far. He is calm in the home and loves his naps. Kilo is crate trained and pee pad trained, but would need to learn to be trained to do his business outside (he currently isn't brought out much). He likes bacon and cheese, butt scratches and playing with his rope toys. As typical of the breed, Kilo has a cherry eye in both eyes (will need surgery for this) and chronic ear infections that need to be kept monitored. He's a very sweet boy who is ready for his forever home. Will that be you?

Meet Rupert 🐾 Rupert is a resilient, loving little guy who has come a long way and is ready to find his forever home! At around 2–3 years old, Rupert is a playful, affectionate pup who loves being with his person. He enjoys attention, playtime, and pretty much any opportunity to have fun. One of his favorite things? The pool! 💦 Rupert had a scary start when he suddenly woke up one day unable to walk on his back legs. He underwent spinal surgery and, thanks to his incredible resilience, he is walking again! His journey is a testament to just how strong this sweet boy is. According to his DNA results, Rupert is approximately 50% French Bulldog and 50% Pocket Bully. He has basic obedience skills including sit, stay, come, and calm leash walking, and he is a very fun, playful companion. Rupert gets along well with other dogs, but because of his spinal surgery, he needs a home with dogs who are 50 pounds or smaller. He should no longer be around large or rough dogs to help protect his back and keep him safe. Most of all, Rupert loves affection and wants to be close to his person.
