Nessie was rescued from an overcrowded shelter where she needed urgent medical care due to painful masses in her ears. In our care, we explored all options to avoid surgery, but it eventually became clear that surgery was necessary for her to have a pain-free life. She will likely be completely deaf after the procedure, but that won’t prevent her from living a joyful, healthy, and loving life. Despite her hardships, Nessie’s spirit remains bright. She loves people, thrives on affection, and has quickly won over all of our staff. She’s a cuddly companion who simply wants to stay close and receive all the love she deserves. She’s best suited to a home prepared to help her adjust after surgery, and in return, she’ll give endless love and loyalty. Meet beautiful Bella! Bella is a fun Frenchie mix who is about 39 lbs, and around 2 years old. Bella is a shy girl at first, but it doesn't take her long to become your shadow and your bff! Bella is nervous around new people, places and dogs, and especially men. She warms up quickly. She is barky at men when she first meets them, but with some patience she is fine once she gets to know them. She likes to play with smaller dogs, but is fine with any size dog. Because she is nervous around them, we like to give her a slow intro so she doesn't get overwhelmed. She is getting the hang out house training, but isn't fully there. She bonds quickly to her people, and because of her past, she understandably has some separation anxiety. She promises to be your best friend and is looking for a forever home of her own.

Sweet Ella had a rough start to life, used as a breeding machine and kept in a cage in a backyard breeding operation. Despite her terrible past, she is the sweetest girl. Ella is a 4.5 year old French Bulldog. She is 23 lbs, and should be about 25 lbs at her goal weight. She is so sweet - she loves people and affection so much. She follows you everywhere, and loves to cuddle on the couch and bed with you. She promises to be your best friend in no time. Ella came to us in very rough shape - she had masses growing out of her ears and very bad ear infections underneath them - she could not hear at all. Since removing the masses and cleaning up the infections, her hearing is slowly coming back, and the vet thinks she will be able to fully hear again, but as of now she has limited hearing (she had no hearing at first, so it is improving). She is very responsive to people and knows some hand signals (sit, and come) She has dry eye, and gets a drop in her eyes 2x a day - shes very easy to give this to Ella is good with other dogs her size or smaller. She doesn't like bigger dogs. She cuddles with dogs her size, but will also try to take their toys and act slightly dominant in that respect. Ella has some separation anxiety - when shes left with other dogs, shes fine, but when you leave the house with another dog, or if shes the only dog in the home, she will cry for about 15 minutes before settling down and sleeping the rest of the time. She loves toys, to play, and plays with other dogs. She is good on leash and in the car. She loves rolling around in her bed and getting belly rubs. She matches your energy - shes calm when you're calm, but is so excited for walks. She truly such a loving girl, and deserves an amazing rest of her life after the rough start she was dealt!
