Hi there new friend! My name is Olive. Im a 2-year-old, Blue Fawn Olde English Bulldogge, that means I look a bit like an English Bulldog, but Im long and lean. Think bully sport mode. I also have beautiful green hazel eyes that I love to look at you lovingly with. I started life as a breeding dog, but I guess I wasnt very good at my job, so lucky me- I got to retire! Now Im reliving the puppyhood that I didnt get the 1st time around. I like to explore my world with my mouth, because everything is new to me- but I would never hurt a fly on purpose. Im getting better about exploring with my nose and not my mouth. Ive also learned that when people say leave it that they dont want me to have something. Im so smart and Im learning what makes my foster people happy everyday. I hope my forever family will help me continue to learn and become the perfect house pup. What I dont have to learn is how to be affectionate and loving, because I already know all that really important stuff! I also love to run and jump and play, and boy can I run fast! My foster parents laugh at my gymnastics everyday, and say that I have a happy-go-lucky personality. I always use the potty outside, but I havent mastered the leash yet. I dont really understand that Im tethered to you. I have a backyard here, but Im working on understanding a leash walk too. Im a quiet girl, and I havent really used my voice here at all. I also sleep happily in my crate all night. I need to get my beauty sleep for more zoomies. Ive been getting along well with the other dogs here, and I like all people too, but small people might be harder for me. Im just not the carefulest of girls yet. So, whatcha think? I LOVE being close and lounging with my foster parents all day. I try to always be close to people and will go wherever my foster parents go - NO exceptions. My weakness is my loyalty. I seldom give them space and prefer to be by their side at all times. I like my 'quiet' times for sleeping only. Love and attention suit me perfectly and I always reciprocate ( sometimes more than they do- thats ok). Im being trained not to go potty inside, but Im still working to get this done outside. I live with my foster brother 'Mr. Grady' (CEBR alum). We get along pretty well.He seems grumpy at times when Im too close. My favorite thing in the world is eating! I've been told I eat in record time, I try to stay down before my bowl placed, I just go crazy nuts. I'm a little loud as well with my grunts and snorts, Ive heard I clean my eating area up very well! Maybe knock some water out of the bowl from my excitement. However, when they present a doggy treat, I have the gentlest nibble out of their hands. We have a huge backyard, but I have not tried to escape or jump the fence. I am a very good, curious partner on walks. I like to do some zig-zags which my foster parents say I need to work on. What can I say? I just like to sniff all the new scents and enjoy the journey. I have been learning some other things too, like how to sit and wait, come and stayWe play rough at times and I tend to gently Nibble on their hands/arms- not hard.. Hi! My name is Bear. As you can see, Im beary, beary cute. I am a 3-year-old English Bulldog and weigh about 53 pounds. I was surrendered by my previous owner so I can find a family that has bulldog experience. I came to CEBR with good looks and sweetness but not an ounce of training. I am still learning what is for me and what I need to leave alone. I have a very happy-go-lucky personality and just enjoy life. I like treats, people, dogs and car rides. Im learning to like toys but still havent quite found my favorite yet. I do enrichment activities (ie- lickimat, snuffy mat, ripping cardboard boxes that I am given) and training activities every single day to redirect my undesirable behaviors and burn my bully energy. My foster family said they had to Bearproof the house. When I first moved in, I couldnt even handle watching the garbage cans being emptied, but I am doing better with that now. Toilet paper, garbage cans, plungers and cleaning brushes have been moved off the floor. Towels have to be hanging out of reach so I dont grab them off the towel rack. I dont like things plugged into outlets. If I see them, I will unplug them. And the cord may become a game of tug, whether you like it or not. Rice cooker, blow dryer and computer cords are no match for me. Decorative items have to be out of reach too. Like I said, I am working on training and manners so I can be friends (not frenemies) with everything in the house. Im working on house training too. Im improving but still not 100% perfect. I like going outside but I like to chew and tug my leash. In time, that will improve too as I learn. Things I am good at- being beary cute, very sweet, not an ounce of bulldog attitude or stink eye. I am well-mannered when my ears get cleaned. Commands I have learned- sit, paw, stay, leave it. We practice those commands daily so I continue to do better. I am also good about going in my crate and staying there while no one is home. My forever family must be patient. I spent my first 3 years of life living rule-free so it will take patience, training, training and more training plus time for me to learn manners and the difference between right and wrong. In addition to daily training with my foster mom, I have had training sessions with A Sound Beginning trainer. While I like kids, I dont know my own strength so I would probably do better with older kids in my family. Although I require patience, I am the sweetest and cutest bully you will ever meet! Thanks to some patience and yummy treats as motivation, I've done a great job at learning that my bathroom is outdoors although, sometimes accidents still happen. Rough around the Edges: I told you earlier my past is a bit of a mystery, well I came to CEBR in pretty rough shape with scars on my paws, some bad teeth, a nasty ear infection and cherry eye. Thanks to the kind folks at CEBR, we've been sorting all that out! I've been enjoying all of the love and pampering on this healing journey. I guess you could say I'm having what the kids call a 'glow up' this fall. Just a Little Barky at Times: Perhaps due to not having people pay good attention to me earlier in my life, I will bark to let you know if I'm feeling left out or want some snacks or belly scritches. I generally settle down after a while but it'd be good for my new home to be understanding of my need to be heard sometimes. So, are you ready to roll the dice and take a Chance? The sweetest explorer youll ever meet! Hi! Im Frank! My foster mom says Im named after Sir Francis Drake because I love to explore. Im not sure who that is but if he was sweet and curious and interested in new things Id probably like him. My foster-mom says I like everyone I meet so I think Id definitely like that Sir Francis guy. I think Im about 7 years old but Im not sure. I weigh about 55lbs. Im a pretty chill guy and am content to be near people or my foster brothers. I have three foster brothers that I like following around and watching what they do. Im more of a sidelines than a jump in the game kinda guy. I also dont fall for my littlest foster brothers barking, Im a good boy and dont join him when he barks at sounds or things he sees outside, in fact the only time I bark is when I have to go potty. I am very good with going potty outside but sometimes I like to walk a bit to get everything done. Or maybe I just like to go for short walks. My foster mom says I am very good on a leash, I am polite and do what she says. I dont know all my commands yet but I listen well and follow directions. I respond really well when people tell me Im a good boy and give me some ear scratches. Ive only been around boy dogs and I do really well but I think I would be okay with girl dogs and cats as long as they are ok with me cautiously saying hi. I have been around older kids (13+) and I really liked them, I think I would be ok with younger kids as long as they are gentle and dont mind my snores. Im a pretty good eater but Im a bit messy and sometimes need some extra time to get everything my foster mom helps me with that and I try my best to be polite while she does that but I really like eating. I eat away from my foster brothers so I have time and space to get everything. My back legs are a little weak so I have trouble with stairs and cant jump on furniture. I can do a few stairs but not any more than that. When my foster family goes upstairs for bedtime I stay downstairs, I dont mind too much but I do get excited when everyone comes downstairs in the morning. I even do the cutest good morning wave because I am so happy to see them. I am crate trained but my foster mom says I dont need to go into a crate when she leaves because I am a very good boy.
