Story

Buttercup is very sweet dog but has always been a timid dog since I brought her from her breeder at 13 weeks old (Born 3/18/21). She is a purebred. She is very attached to me and gets scared when visiting new places or going to vet. She is good with children although she gets too excited and overly jumps to play. She is trained to use bathroom outside but when weather is bad (freezing cold/rain), she will not use the bathroom outside but prefer to use a wee wee pad. She does not have bed because I've learned anything on the floor- bed or mats she mistakes for a wee wee pad and will pee on it. She is spayed. She is up to date with most vaccines - she is due for her Bordetella vaccine in April. She was just seen by vet 2/14/26- Banfield Pet Hospital in union NJ. As much as I want to keep her, she is a lot to maintain and I am currently trying to also rehome her daughter (Duchess 1 year an 7mon) since I am currently pregnant and can not care for 2 English Bulldogs.

This 4-year-old, 48 lb chunk of personality is friendly, social, and absolutely devoted to his people. His signature move? Plopping his clunky blockhead right into your lap for maximum cuddle impact. Mayor loves balls of all sizes—truly, the bigger the better—and he plays fetch like it’s his full-time job. He has great recall, listens well, and knows his commands. He’s a smart, willing little tank who tries so hard to please. He also does best when he takes his daily Prozac, so we’re looking for an adopter who’s comfortable continuing his medication. It makes a world of difference for him. After being scared and overwhelmed in an overcrowded shelter, Mayor needs an experienced, bulldog-savvy foster or adopter who can give him a calm, quiet home. He should be the only pet, and we think he may shine brightest in a one-person household where he can really bond and feel secure. Mayor has an adorable smile that could light up the whole block, and has so much love to give. REMY BARK is fostered in Beacon, NYRemy, 3.5 years and 45 lbs., is a petite low rider bull dog mix who wants to be your only pet. She is the longest waiting dog in our program, having been in foster care since June 2023! We rescued her from the NYC shelter where she had been brought at just a year old, found stray in Brooklyn after a recent litter, and she was discarded in sad condition with a very bad skin infection. She’s looking for a quieter home with humans who enjoy the calm side of life. Her favorite pastimes include sunbathing in your backyard, practicing her impression of a scratching post so your hands never have to be idle, working for her food, perfecting her weighted blanket skills as she lounges across your lap and enjoying her enrichment and pattern games. Meet Bubba Charlie, whose head is as big as his heart. To know anything about Bubba you just have to know how he was found. The kind soul that saved him from homelessness shared this: “This adorable creature arrived on my porch in a rainstorm and never wanted to leave. He was wonderful and easy going and friendly to neighbors and dogs, I could not say no. I wanted to keep him because he is so special but unfortunately my landlord will not allow me to. I didn't want to bring him to the animal shelter where he might be destroyed, so I am personally paying to board him. He truly needs a home and he is SUCH a good boy. He will be someone’s absolute BEST friend and will adore whoever saves him from this life.” Bubba is some form of a bulldog / bully breed. He is quite young, we estimate he is 1-2 years old. He is good with dogs, kids, cats and loves every human he meets. He is a large lovebug, weighing in at 74 lbs. He is housebroken, and crate trained. He will need a little help on the leash but overall is very well behaved. He will occasionally try to chase a squirrel or two while on leash but is overall unreactive on lead, he is just playful and curious about those small moving, fast critters. Bubba is WONDERFUL with little dogs - they can jump all over him and give him lots of attention and grief and he is non-reactive. The only time we have seen Bubba take issue with other dogs is large dogs behind fences that are barking at him or if an another large dog shows HIM aggression first. Otherwise, Bubba is a complete sweetheart. Bubba will love his human the way they write about in movies…perhaps you can be the hero he is waiting for? Interested in becoming Bubba’s forever home? She is good with other dogs, however she is possessive of food and toys around other dogs. So, we feel she would do best in a home by herself. Trudy does fine on walk with other dogs and hanging out with them as long as there is no toys or food involved. She loves hanging out with people and she is good with kids. Trudy truly loves to explore and is always up for an adventure, so if you're looking for an energetic and fun-loving dog, then she is the one for you.
