Ernie is a 5-year- old purebred English Bulldog who is playful and energetic and loves his people, his toys, and daily walks. After his walks, he likes to lounge. He is very friendly with every person we’ve encountered - greeting them with a slobbery smile. He’s a bit of a celebrity on the rail trail near our home, even having just been here a few months.Unfortunately, his owner (our uncle) passed away very suddenly in June. We took him in, hoping he would be able to settle in with our family, however we have a cat and a 2-year old, and Ernie has had a hard time adjusting to being with them in our house.Ernie is microchipped, up to date on all his vaccines and preventatives, is neutered, is in good health, and has recent negative fecal and heartworm tests. He weighs 55 lbs and is a healthy weight for his size. Please reach out if you’re interested in hearing more! This pretty little English Bulldog girl is called Natasha and she is guessed to be 8 years or a little more, and weighs 42 lb. She was found at a construction site wandering as a stray in a small town in Middle Tennessee. The people that found her couldn't believe that such a sweet girl could possibly be lost. After posts were made on Facebook and social media, no one ever came forward to claim her. The shelter was full at her small town and the people that found her just could not take her there even if it could accept her. She's too special. This little girl is recovering from a former flea infestation and has some patches on her back that are missing hair but growing hair back now. She's got the normal senior hip arthritis and needs some pain meds from time to time and some good joint medicine will help a great deal. Her teeth are good, her eyesight is fine and her sweet personality is over the top of the chart. She's affectionate with everyone and oh so sweet. We have found her to be good with other dogs and housebroken. We have not tried her with cats, but she seems to have the personality that would be loving and welcoming to all creatures that she meets. She walks a little slower as can be expected at her age, but she exudes a gratitude for having been given a place to stay. As they always say, a rescue dog will always let you know that they appreciate what you have done for them. With Natasha you can see it in her eyes and her spirit. She is a joy that someone needs to have in their life. If you understand the Bulldog breed, then you will be happy to know that this is a rare girl to be offered. She's healthy and all other ways except a little arthritis and missing a little bit of hair. Natasha is special and we are looking for that very special person or family to adopt her. I sat in a kill shelter for as long as I can remember with a shattered pelvis and both of my hips broken. I couldn't even stand. I sat there for months and finally, my time was up. I didn't even have any pain meds, but I had so much love to give. Every time a shelter employee came by, I wiggled in hopes of getting a moment of their affection. I adore human love! The only thing that got me through it was thinking of a forever home. I got rescued just in time and went straight to a vet for surgery. Now, I have brand new hips and am back to the wiggle butt I was born to be! I am still waiting for my forever home though. Won't you please consider letting me dance around with you and show you all the love I have to offer? I am a HUGE KISSER and love to give smooches of gratitude all day long. I love other dogs, just ones that are really rambunctious scare me a bit, so I feel safer around more relaxed pups. I love toys and have so much fun throwing them around the yard. Cleo is a 2 1/2 year old "XL-Bully" recently surrendered to the shelter. Cleo is a fun, affectionate girl that knows several commands- beauty AND brains! Cleo can sometimes be unsure at first meeting new people, but comes around quickly. She is extremely strong on a leash and will require continued training to work with that. A GENEROUS DONOR HAS COVERED THIS DOG'S VET COSTS, GIVING YOU A REDUCED ADOPTION FEE! Virginia was dumped out pregnant and despite going up to several homes and people, no one tried to help. She eventually wandered up to an empty house to have her three babies and thankfully someone finally took pity and reach out to get her help. Now Virginia and two of her puppies - Violet & Vince - are still waiting for families of their own and they are all on the URGENT list as their shelter is over full and they are running out of time. This girl is going to make someone a fabulous companion! She walks very well on a leash and is learning not to pull. She is potty-trained and is active but not hyper, does not jump, nor does she guard her food or toys. Virginia LOVES to go for car rides, especially if there's a burger and a pup-cup involved. And when she is on outings, she is the perfect lady when walking around the store - she was polite, greeted everyone, picked out a chew toy and treats. She takes a treat ever-so-gently and is just an overall "Good Girl!" Her absolute favorite thing is playing with her tennis ball or squeaky ball!! No stuffy toys for this girl. She loves to be with her person but if you are busy, she is content to play by herself too. Virginia does well with kids and loves every human she meets but she does not love other dogs, and we recommend she be an only-pet home. Virginia is looking for a family to include her on their adventures and show her all the love this mama dog deserves!! This girl is an absolute LOVE and deserves the best home ever!
