"What did the cricket say to the squirrel??" How would we know?? Cricket's don't TALK!! Ok, now that we have broken the ice, let me tell you all about me :) I am a strong survivor. I came from the most DISMAL situation you can imagine.... born to an unwanted mother, sickly and sad, I was dumped with her as well as one of our sisters dead bodies, like we had no meaning in this world... BUT, LOVE WON OUT!!! I was seen by a kind woman who reached out to another kind woman who reached out to a rescuer in San Antonio- 5 hours away!!! AND we were SAVED! So how is that for a rags to riches story?? It is MY story. I am a happy girl now, I have come SO FAR from the scared, skinny, starving, mangy pup I was, but I haven't reached the finish line YET!! That's where you come in... I am ready for my forever family. We are going to be a little picky, if you don't mind. I prefer a home, with heat and ac, with food and with LOVE. Older kids would be great, I can still be a little nervous with new people (who can blame me?) and I would love another calm, confident dog to help me with my energy. So, if that sounds like your home, APPLY TO ADOPT ME!!! You will not only finish my story with a huge happy ending chapter, you will be encouraging all of the kind women who took the time and energy and love that was needed to get me safe and to wonderful families!!! ADOPT.... DON'T SHOP!!! OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Meet Peso, a spirited black whippet mix adopted from Loretto, Mexico, in 2015 as a pup. A 2017 injury made him slightly unpredictable, but he’s cuddly, silly, and full of spunk. Peso loves his family, gets along with familiar dogs, and charms the neighbor’s kids. Less socialized with new dogs or people, he thrives at home with three kids under five and four dogs. The three non-service dogs, including Peso and Duke, get along well but show growing jealousy toward the service dog due to its special attention. Both are healthy, well-behaved, and seem younger than their age with many years left. We’re sadly considering rehoming Peso and possibly Duke, wonderful companions and a great pair. We’re heartbroken but want them to thrive. If we can’t find a home, we’ll manage, but we hope to avoid the worst case. If you can welcome these dogs, we’d be grateful.

Hi, I’m Chai. I was minding my own business running around the neighborhood until I came across this one house that had all the good treats. Suddenly this lady said something about rescuing me because there was a freeze coming and I didn’t trust her at first, I was so scared. I decided to play hard to get, it took her like 5 days to gain my trust. Finally I decided it was time to see what she had to offer. Now I’m having the time of my life. I have fur brothers and sisters that keep me company, I even have a human sister that’s just a baby. I’m so gentle with her and my foster mom says I’m a natural around infants. I spend my days sleeping on the couch and doing zoomies in the backyard. I’m working on my confidence right now and I’m a little shy but I promise I warm up fast. I’m scared of unfamiliar things but my foster parents are going to keep working with me. I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and have good manners.
