Story

We adopted Lily six years ago from a rescue, already an adult, so her exact age is unknown. She’s a sweet, affectionate dog who loves attention and being petted. Mealtimes are her favorite part of the day (twice daily), and she’ll make sure you don’t forget. Lily enjoys playing tug with her toys and is impressively well-behaved—she sticks to her toys and doesn’t chew on anything else. She’s a loyal companion who wants to be by your side and generally gets along well with people, though she has a strong dislike for our housekeeper and needs to be kenneled during those visits. Thunderstorms scare her, and she’ll seek comfort close to you; on rare occasions, she’s had accidents indoors during storms. While she’s excited about walks, her hips limit her to short distances—about one block—though she doesn’t require pain medication. She does take daily seizure medication, which costs around $20 per month. If wanted Lily can bring her food bowl and more equippment.

She is kennel trained and goes into her kennel at events very well and is potty trained. She would make a great dog for a retired person Who just want a companion to hang out around the house with. Bambi is very calm and not a big barker. She walks very well on a leash and would be fine in a home with a yard or even a condo or townhouse. Bambi is fully vetted, spayed and heartworm negative. Beau’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was used for breeding and cruelly discarded once he was no longer 'useful.' He was found abandoned outside an apartment building in North Texas, in heartbreaking condition. When he came into our care, Beau was suffering from severe skin infections, painful ear infections, and damage to his only remaining eye—his other eye had already been removed. But Beau is a fighter. With lots of love, veterinary care, and time, he’s now healed and ready for his fresh start. Beau has limited vision in his remaining eye, but don’t let that fool you—he gets around just fine and doesn’t let it slow him down. He can hear well and absolutely adores people. His favorite things? Belly rubs, gentle attention, and simply being near his humans. Due to the fact that Beau was never socialized as a puppy, he is dog reactive and will need to be an only dog. This sweet boy is looking for an angel—a foster or adopter—who will give him the love and security he’s always deserved. Meet Manny….this sweet boy came to the Euless shelter as a stray, extremely malnourished and with happy tail syndrome. Despite undergoing a partial tail amputation surgery and several followup vet visits, he is one of the happiest dogs you’ll meet. At 3 years old, he still has the playfulness of a puppy, but without all the trials of training. Manny is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a harness and loves car rides. He knows basic commands and his foster family has been working with him to learn more and say he is a very smart, quick study. Manny enjoys playing with his toys, especially BALLS and chasing after them. He has excellent house manners and does well with children and lives side by side with guinea pigs without issue. As much as he loves to play, he’s happy to settle down and snuggle up next to his people. Manny prefers to be the only dog and will do best in a home with a fully fenced backyard. Manny is an American Bulldog/Staffordshire terrier mix, with a beautiful, healthy white coat. He’s been able to gain a little weight and is up to 53 lbs.
