Meet Manny….this sweet boy came to the Euless shelter as a stray, extremely malnourished and with happy tail syndrome. Despite undergoing a partial tail amputation surgery and several followup vet visits, he is one of the happiest dogs you’ll meet. At 3 years old, he still has the playfulness of a puppy, but without all the trials of training. Manny is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a harness and loves car rides. He knows basic commands and his foster family has been working with him to learn more and say he is a very smart, quick study. Manny enjoys playing with his toys, especially BALLS and chasing after them. He has excellent house manners and does well with children and lives side by side with guinea pigs without issue. As much as he loves to play, he’s happy to settle down and snuggle up next to his people. Manny prefers to be the only dog and will do best in a home with a fully fenced backyard. Manny is an American Bulldog/Staffordshire terrier mix, with a beautiful, healthy white coat. He’s been able to gain a little weight and is up to 53 lbs. Kallan Rua is being fostered in TN. she is so smart she is now potty trained! Vision Update: 1/16/26 Originally we thought she just had ulcers and they were healed with some vision loss...we have since found that she has no vision in her left eye and has developed primary glaucoma... she is currently being treated with 2x daily eye drops which are very affordable and tolerating it very well. She is expected to eventually need that eye removed if she no longer responds to the eye drops in the future. The glaucoma is hereditary and could move to the right eye as well. She is currently normal and happy and still sees shadows in her right eye. Her weight is now 8.7 lbs. Kallan Rua ( cowl-lawn roo_ah) lives up to her Irish name as a brave warrior and a strong ginger haired girl!!! At 8.5 weeks she has the biggest personality, she is playful and LOVES her toys, she is absolutely adorable and so smart. She loves praise. She is 10000% a lap puppy and was bottle fed so all she wants is to cuddle and be held and kissed. She is fantastic with the foster mom's two dogs ( although she is too young to really play and interact yet) and shows only gentle interest in cats. She has yet to meet a person she has not loved or a lap she does not want to be in. Kallen is a typical puppy, curious about everything, playful, and absolutely full of mischief. She doesn't walk...she leaps from place to place exploding with joy... and every adventure is better than the next as far as she is concerned. She has no fear and shows no issues with her limited vision. She does not run into anything and can see well enough to navigate her world perfectly. Foster home is currently crate training and working on basic commands. She is so smart and only wants to please!!! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Beau’s past was heartbreaking. He was used for breeding and cruelly discarded when he was no longer “useful.” He was found abandoned outside an apartment complex in North Texas in poor condition, suffering from severe skin infections, painful ear infections, and damage to his only remaining eye (his other eye had already been removed). Thanks to dedicated veterinary care, patience, and lots of love, Beau has healed and is now ready for a fresh start. About Beau • Potty and kennel trained • Enjoys spending time in his kennel and sees it as a safe space • Has limited vision, but excellent hearing and gets around just fine • Loves people, belly rubs, gentle affection, and being close to his humans • Playful and sweet once he feels safe • Calm and chill once he knows you Because Beau was never properly socialized as a puppy, he is dog reactive and will need to be an only dog or time to adjust to a calm non reactive dog.
