Pretty Delta is a sweetheart. She's a young happy dog who loves to play and be affectionate. Delta's owners got rid of her because they were tired of having dogs. They dumped their 13 year old Shepherd as well. Thankfully, we were able to rescue them before the owners dumped them in one of the local shelters. Delta is great with other dogs and really just a nice, sweet dog. She will be great with another dog in the household or as a single dog. She's a great size at about 50 lbs. We are looking for an adult home with yard access for Delta. We understand you are excited to adopt a new fur family rescue, however, we are a small rescue so please no calls. All the information we have for this animal is in this description please read the entire description. You must live within 1.5 hours of Vallejo. He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself.  He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing.  He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##

Pogo is about 2 years old, he loves to play ball. Up until last week he was an inside dog and i had to move and he isnt adapting well to our new environment. He is nervous and barks when all day long until i get home from work. he is a loving friend that breaks my heart to have to part with him.

Little Miss Super Star shines so bright making her a fun, vibrant girl who is playful and affectionate. She is about a year old and in the 40lb range. She is spayed & current on vaccines. "Star" is an Asian breed mix - maybe Korean Jindo and . She loves to engage, gives sweet kisses, loves to cuddle up next to you, walks well on leash and is overall has a joyous/happy energy to her. She LOVES water and would be such a good fit for those who love hiking/jogging.  Star listens well and walks nicely on a leash thanks to the Obedience and Training classes she has been taking with her handlers. Her trainer mentions: "She loves other dogs" and of course, the best friends are those who share your interests and likes ... in this case, she wants to play and have fun ... so pairing her up with a dog - regardless of breed - that has a similar energy or play style is what will make life FUN! . That means another dog around her age and size, or a little older, very easy-going dog that she could hopefully learn from would be best. I don't think it matters if it's male or female since almost everyone she has been with here has been female". Star is a young adult and she does need a foster/adopter willing and able to help her learn how to be a well mannered adult. She does take well to positive reinforcement training. She is a girl where touch and play are also great rewards for her. We feel she is eager to learn and is so happy when she’s able to make her foster mom just as happy! April 21, 2024, 8:34 pm
