One or two canine teeth are slightly chipped, but there is no nerve damage, so no immediate treatment is necessary. 2⃣ Rescue Story * White spent time at a dogslaughter farm in Juksan, where he witnessed his fellow dogs being killed right before his eyes. He lived in constant fear, but when Adogs shut down the farm, he was finally given a second chance at life. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is a bit shy. Approaches to sniff and sticks around familiar people, but runs away if you try to touch him. If you corner him a bit so he can’t run away, he accepts being petted. Is okay with familiar people touching him at any space! You can minimize the time it takes to get closer to him with treats. Although he isn’t yet affectionate with people, he’s in the process of opening his heart and will get close to people quickly once he lives in a family home. * With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs and does not cause issues. Is not particularly interested in approaching new dogs first. Seems to prefer smaller-sized dogs and plays well with familiar companions. * With Cats: It is unclear how he will react as he hasn’t met cats yet. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he is currently living in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Does only outdoor pottying at our center. * Hygiene: Runs away when you try to take care of him but once you catch him and start petting and brushing him, he stays still and enjoys it. * Walks: Gets a bit nervous when walking outside so it’s recommended to take him out to quiet and familiar places. Doesn’t pull on the leash but tends to get stubborn when something scares him. * Car Sickness: Is comfortable with riding in a car without motion sickness. * Nip: Doesn’t bite, even defensively. * Bark: Rarely barks, but has copied other dogs if they bark when visitors come to the center. * Like: Likes treats so much that he sometimes overpowers his fear of people! * Dislike: Becomes wary and frightened of unfamiliar people, vehicles, or external stimuli.

She is an extremely shy pup initially who needs an experienced handler and someone knowledgeable about her breed. She gets along well with most dogs, but can be selective at times. Therefore, she will do better as an only dog. She is very affectionate and cuddly. Loves to play fetch and run. Bella will do best with an active, all adult family, and a fully fenced yard. Hello! My name is Liv, and I’m a gentle soul who was once just days away from euthanasia at a shelter. But I was given a second chance — and now, I’m learning what love truly means. 💛 At first, I can be shy around new people or big, unfamiliar places. I get a little scared, but once I realize I’m safe, I quietly come close and show my affection in the sweetest ways. Beneath my timid heart is a dog full of warmth, kindness, and love. I get along beautifully with other dogs. I often look to my dog friends for comfort, follow their lead, and enjoy playing and cuddling with them once we’re close. Because of that, I’d do well in a home with another friendly dog — but I could also be perfectly happy as an only pet, soaking up all your love just for myself. I’m gentle with children, too. Sometimes, I can be a little wary of unfamiliar men, but I’m never aggressive — just cautious. I’m the kind of dog who startles easily but never hurts anyone. In calm environments, I relax and show my quiet, loving personality. I enjoy walks, though sometimes I get a little excited and might pull on the leash or get curious about interesting smells (especially if there’s a cat nearby 🐾). Big signs or large objects can make me a bit nervous, but I’m fine with cars and motorcycles. Life there was scary — I was often hurt by the person who owned the place, and I learned to be afraid of people and new things. At first, I might seem shy or even a little nervous, especially around new people or unfamiliar places. I’m scheduled for a dental scaling soon. I used to have some tear allergies, but I’m much better now thanks to my special allergy-friendly food. 🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home Hi, I’m Tanya 🤍 Let me tell you my story as I wait for my forever family. I was rescued from a shelter where euthanasia was imminent. With only a short time left, a miracle happened—and I was given a second chance at life. The bright, affectionate dog you see today exists because of that precious second miracle. I’m a loving girl who truly enjoys being close to people. I’m curious, cheerful, and full of warmth. When I get excited, I have short bursts of playful “zoomies,” but overall I have a calm and well-balanced energy. I have a pretty regular potty routine—about three times a day (around 8 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m.). I can do both indoor and outdoor potty, and I usually use pads in my resting area. I’m not perfect yet, so a little continued potty training would help me shine even more. I eat twice a day and have been enjoying Royal Canin Medium kibble mixed with fresh Duet meals. I have a great appetite and love treats of all kinds! Because I do love food a bit too much, it’s best to keep human food safely out of reach. I’m very cooperative when it comes to grooming. I tolerate paw cleaning after walks, tooth brushing, baths, and even drying—none of them are my favorite, but I stay calm and patient. Nail trims have been done at the vet so far. I’m friendly and social with dogs of all sizes and get along well in group settings. On walks, I might pull a little if I see cats or big birds out of curiosity, but I haven’t shown any aggression toward cats. I bond deeply with my person and love staying close—I even prefer sleeping together. With strangers, I tend to warm up faster to women than men, but once I feel safe, my affection comes through. I walk nicely on leash with little pulling, though I sometimes circle around my person, so a shorter leash helps with control. I’m comfortable wearing both a collar and a harness. Stairs going down are still tricky for me, so I need to be carried, but going up is no problem at all. I love toys, especially squeaky ones—they’re my absolute favorite! I don’t have separation anxiety and can spend time alone calmly and confidently. I love human warmth. I understand the joy of living together. Once so close to the end, I’m now waiting for a family to share my whole life with. Will you be my forever family? 🐾
