Story
BEAU IS A COURTESY POST - IF INTERESTED, EMAIL INFO@PETEY&FURENDS.ORG Name: Beau Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 10 months old (as of 1/16) Best Guess for Breed: Basset Mix Weight: About 30 lbs (as of 1/16) Lives With: Dogs and cats…and does great with all people! Housebroken? He’s working on his potty training and making great progress! Story: Beau is a happy little guy found on the streets of DC. After a week, no owners have responded, and so his finder/foster is looking for a good home. Beau is friendly with dogs and cats, and people. His foster doesn’t have children but he has been calm and happy around them on walks. He is absolutely delightful - he loves going on walks and playing with toys, people, and his resident dog brother. He is a smart cookie and picks up on potty training and basic commands super fast. Beau could go to a home with or without other pets. He’s an ideal age for continued socializing and adapting to probably any environment. He currently lives in a city apartment and is content, though he of course is happy trotting around outside in fields. Beau is a healthy and sturdy dog; basset caretakers do have to take special considerations to protect their backs including being careful about how rough and with whom they play, and using stairs instead of jumping off furniture. He is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you think that Beau might be your perfect match, please email info@peteyandfurends.org.January 20, 2026, 5:58 pm

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. CAROB is a wonderful dog…Basset mix. DOB 2/14/25, current weight 28#s. She came to us in November along with her sister and mother. Carob’s processing was delayed because she was pregnant. We let her have her pups and she did a great job of caring for them and they will soon be advertised. BUT… Carob is ready to go now. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is a very loving and affectionate dog. She loves to go outside to run and play with the other dogs. She plays with many of my dogs like she’s just a pup. She leaves my 3 cats alone…for the most part. I do have one cat that literally likes to wrestle with her and she loves it. For the most part, she is house trained but needs to learn how to tell you she needs to go out. We do have our dogs on a regimen which allows her to do her business outside regularly. Even though her official name is Carob (based on the name for chocolate) she was called “Mama” most of the time…and this name she knows. She does like to be outside for hours (of course it’s warmer down here in Texas) but she’ll come in when called. She walks on the leash with enthusiasm and rides in the car with no problems. She loves to go everywhere and everyone is a friend. She is crate trained…but can do her Basset Hound howl when she needs to go out. We do not recommend adopting her to anyone living in an apartment. CAROB is a fantastic, loving dog. She’ll make someone a great companion and will be good with children. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation to WA/OR. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
I’m not sure what bred!!!She is a really good dog she is crate trained. Sometimes she goes to pee and poop in the crate when I have no one to take her outside. She is hyper but will not bite. She likes to play a lot and she needs to run around a lot as well! She eats a lot and she loves water like alot so much where she throws up. She has anxiety from me and my husband not being home as much always working. So if you can have her outside so she’s not bored that would be okay or if you can be around her all the time that’s good as well. She doesn’t know how to walk on the leash because we just let her run freely ! She is amazing and would love to have fun with you .

Please contact Connie Kiggins (conniek@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet baby girl seeking happily ever after! OLIVE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Olive and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (2/15) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!     Name:   Olive         Best Guess for Breed:    Basset hound mix   Best Guess for Age:  4 months as of February 2026           SEX:    Female   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):   16.4 lbs as of 2/1/26   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Olive is Looking For:   Hi! Me and my sisters (there are four of us - Opal, Olivia, Olive, and Oakley) are satos from Puerto Rico. (Yes, that means our best guess for breed is just that - a guess - because we're elongated with short legs!) Growing up together has been great but now we're ready to split up and get our own human families in the DC area - we've talked it over and this is what we want: Play time - all those puppy zoomies! Snuggles and cuddles! World exploration! I promise to give you so many adoring gazes and kisses, and so much love and loyalty for all my days. What do you say? Do I get to grow up with you? What My Foster Says About Me: Olive is the houndiest, hound of her sisters! She is sooo sweet and has the most opinions. She barks to go out when she needs to go potty and has been doing well signaling then going potty outside. She barks sometimes but can be redirected. She loooves other dogs and is very playful. She's also done well with our kids!! She is such a goofy, sweet girl who is going to make her forever family so so happy. Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . BE A FOSTER!!!       Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org! BE A SPONSOR!!!!       Sponsors help Lucky Dog support the many dogs we save. To learn more about sponsorship, please contact       info@luckydoganimalrescue.org       .   &#226&#128&#139February 13, 2026, 4:48 pm
