You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.May is a girl on the smaller side of medium and filled with beagle genes. Her foster says 'She is a very sweet girl who does great with other dogs and even cats. ' She has many of the wonderful beagle traits which have made the breed so very popular for decades. Always known as super family dogs, beagles are easy to love and May is no exception. You will enjoy taking her for walks and watching her play in your backyard, ears flapping in the breeze as she chases that stick. She is the type of dog who likes to please her people and she will try hard to do what you want her to because that is who she is. She has all her shots and is hoping someone will come for her so she can have her own family to love once again. She says to ask you to bring toys when you come to see her! NOTE: As May is a hound, we are hoping for a home with a physical fence so she and her inquisitive nose will be safe. Beagles LOVE to follow their noses. If you are interested in May, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 12, 2024, 3:42 pm

Story
Dixie is such a sweetheart, a laid-back beagle. She was one of 4 beagles that were surrendered to us, and all of her siblings have found their forever homes. She adores going for walks and just chilling with people. Just a typical beagle, and she loves other dogs. If you are looking for a loyal friend, this is your girl!

Story
NAME: Chickie BREED: Beagle Mix BIRTHDAY: 2012 WEIGHT: 35lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200   Chickie came to us when her owners (thankfully) surrendered her to a VA shelter. They had been keeping her in a pen outside 24 hours a day, despite their claims that she has grass allergies. What really seemed to be happening to poor Chickie was a bad flea infestation, untreated, that left her with half of her hair missing. After months of treatment and medications, her skin is healthy but it appears her hair will never grow back. We give her Apoquel for itching but she is otherwise in good overall health.  &#226&#128&#139 Chickie has put her years of neglect behind her: she is happy in foster care and is a pretty easy girl. Although she is friendly and has never snapped or even growled at anyone, she is still a little head shy and would do best in a home without small children. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, but should be placed in a home without cats. What she really wants is a place where she can get a nice mix of her own space (with her favorite toy football to play with), and attention in the form of walks and snacks. Chickie is crate trained but will need a reminder course on house training. She would love a fenced yard to stretch her legs, sunbathe, and spend time with her forever family.June 11, 2024, 12:23 am

Story
Ollie is a fantastic guy; laid-back and independent, he has been a very easy foster in a house full of dogs and cats. He loves to snuggle and get scratches but he's also happy to be on his own. He is a chatty fellow but his volume is always on low, and we have yet to hear a beagle bray. Good on leash, in the car, friendly with new people and new animals, great at the vet... there are just not enough good things to say about him!  Ollie is house trained but does have a tendency to mark on previously-marked areas. He is not crated here because he is so good with everyone and is not even a little bit destructive. A favorite adventure is to squeeze through the cat door and help himself to canned food, but since he is so polite the cats are not bothered by his visits. Ollie is fully vetted including a recent dental, and is heartworm negative. He has some old man lumps and bumps but is overall a healthy and very happy fellow! Please consider giving him a real home and a family of his very own!June 11, 2024, 12:23 am
