Story
Meet the cutest little guy around! He is a compact ball of love and we call him our "Walmart Greeter". Carson's person died a couple of years ago and he is needing a new home. Carson is a happy little guy who loves everyone and gets along great with other dogs. Carson is playful, housebroken, snuggly, likes to play with toys and would love a family to call his own again. This little guy is part Shih Tzu part.... Bassett?? A short, stocky little man for sure. Don't let those little legs fool you though, he likes to run and play with the big dogs. Carson is housebroken, so the hard work is done for you! He is an adult with a lot of life left! Let him snuggle up to you and you can heal his little heart. If you'd like to adopt Carson, please fill out our online application at www.goofyfootrescue.org Carson is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Story
This handsome shy at first fella is 3 years old, weighs 63 pounds is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Holmes is great with kids, good with other dogs and loves to CHASE cats 🐈. He has had his DNA done by his previous owner who returned him for destructive behavior and major separation anxiety. Holmes is Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Beagle and a few other breeds. Holmes has seen our vet and has been placed on Prozac. We were told he has broke out of many crates, so to keep him safe we placed a crate inside of a crate and have had no issues at all. We believe a tired dog is a good dog so Holmes does go on a few walks everyday weather permitting and plenty of playtime. Holmes is not the best on a leash but he is getting better....part of it really isn't his fault... it's that Beagle nose he has ❤️ Holmes has started training with Canine Services By Devin and will continue to get direction from them to keep him moving in the right direction. If you have the patience and time Holmes needs to continue to grow in a positive loving home please submit a application. Holmes is being fostered in Hanover Pa. Story
NAME: Chickie BREED: Beagle Mix BIRTHDAY: 2012 WEIGHT: 35lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200   Chickie came to us when her owners (thankfully) surrendered her to a VA shelter. They had been keeping her in a pen outside 24 hours a day, despite their claims that she has grass allergies. What really seemed to be happening to poor Chickie was a bad flea infestation, untreated, that left her with half of her hair missing. After months of treatment and medications, her skin is healthy but it appears her hair will never grow back. We give her Apoquel for itching but she is otherwise in good overall health.   Chickie has put her years of neglect behind her: she is happy in foster care and is a pretty easy girl. Although she is friendly and has never snapped or even growled at anyone, she is still a little head shy and would do best in a home without small children. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, but should be placed in a home without cats. What she really wants is a place where she can get a nice mix of her own space (with her favorite toy football to play with), and attention in the form of walks and snacks. Chickie is crate trained but will need a reminder course on house training. She would love a fenced yard to stretch her legs, sunbathe, and spend time with her forever family.May 7, 2026, 1:19 pm
