Maggie Moo: Small Body, Big Personality, Endless Wiggles Looking for a low-to-the-ground, high-on-love kind of gal? Meet Maggie, also known as Mags, Maggie Moo, or Wiggles—because that tail never stops! She’s a 10-year-old Basset Hound/Jack Russell mix with short legs, a big heart, and an Olympic-level snuggle game. Don’t let her age fool you—this 30-pound sweetheart still zips around the yard like she’s part greyhound. She’s spunky, silly, and full of surprises, especially when she catches a case of the zoomies. Maggie’s specialty? Being extremely attached to her person. If you’ve got a lap (or even just a couch), she’s got a spot picked out. She’s a champion cuddler, a loyal sidekick, and basically your new little shadow. Once she bonds with you, you’re her person for life. She needs a child-free home where she can feel safe, secure, and doted on like the queen she is. But don’t worry—when Maggie loves you, she LOVES you. Expect heart-melting looks, constant companionship, and lots of wiggly affection.  As a bonus: she gets along great with other dogs and even cats. So if you’ve already got a fur family, Maggie just might fit right in. Maggie is the perfect blend of sassy and sweet, loyal and hilarious. If you’re ready for a lovable, nap-loving, people-adoring pup to share your days (and your furniture), Maggie’s ready to meet you. Interested? Let’s set up a meet-and-snuggle. Maggie’s waiting!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 18, 2025, 10:48 am

Story
Friendly  Meet Cool Snoop Dogg, the most easygoing one-year-old Bassett/Beagle mix you could ever hope to meet. He’s currently around 30 pounds and will likely fill out in the 35–38 pound range once he reaches a healthy weight. One glance at his soft, soulful eyes is enough to understand just how deeply this sweet boy connects with his people. Everything about him—from his long Bassett body to his gorgeous droopy ears to that one charming knobby knee—makes him an irresistibly endearing companion. Snoop Dogg has the temperament of a dog twice his age. Instead of the constant curiosity you might expect from a Beagle, he carries himself with a calm, unhurried Bassett spirit. He enjoys exploring a little, but he’s not the type to keep his nose to the ground nonstop. He’s also not a big barker, only joining in when the other dogs decide there’s something worth discussing. On a leash he already does very well, and with just a little practice he’ll be close to perfect. What makes him truly special is his gentle, affectionate nature. If you sit on the ground, he immediately settles in close, wrapping you in a soft, sweet hug and offering the most tender kisses. For such a young dog, his kindness is remarkable. His foster family says he radiates peace, love, and pure goodness in everything he does. Snoop Dogg is wonderfully well-mannered, housebroken, and crate trained. He learned the doggy door in a single day and rides calmly in the car without stress or hesitation. Whether he’s with children, other dogs, cats, a busy family, an empty nest couple, or a single person, he adapts seamlessly. This boy truly fits anywhere, bringing joy, simplicity, and easy companionship into every space he enters. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul who just wants to love and be loved, Cool Snoop Dogg might be your perfect match. APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. CLEO is a Basset Hound mix. We don’t know what the mix is. She is 36#, 16 mos old (est. DOB 2/15/25), and is just as sweet as can be. She is very outgoing, happy, and loves attention. She, along with her two daughters, Carob & Cameo, were found in a parking area close to a storage business along with several other dogs. These 3 were happy and friendly and went running up to my foster…one even jumped in the car! Cleo was in season and Carob was obviously pregnant…dogs running the street when the owners should have taken the responsibility to take care of them. All 3 dogs are lucky…my foster found them and asked to bring them to our ranch. Carob is due to have her pups any day and Cleo & Cameo are vaccinated, spayed, and eating good. Now all they need is a forever home and that’s where you come in. Please give these wonderful dogs a chance. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Current Location: Bel Air, MD Hello! My name is Izzy! I've just arrived at OPH. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I'm searching for... * someone who won't leave me home alone for more than 4 hrs, at least not until I am older. The older I am the more I can stay home alone. I just don't want you to get mad at me if I have accidents or chew things I'm not supposed to when you leave me for too long. I'm a puppy, so I get bored quick and when I'm bored I could get in trouble. * I am looking for my forever home, not my for right now home. So as I get bigger I need someone to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I am young and still learning. You may want to teach me some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help me bond with you. That sounds like fun! * I saved the most important for last. I am hoping my new mom or dad will snuggle with me, play with me and love me forever and ever! I'm making my way north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today because this cuteness won’t be around for long!

Adoption Fee Covered + Free Training! Thanks to a generous supporter, this pet's adoption fee is fully covered — and OPH is including six virtual training sessions with a certified trainer in the first 60 days to help you start off strong together! Meet Nora – The Pocket-Sized Cuddlebug with a Gentle Spirit Currently fostered in Silver Spring, MD With her beautiful chocolate and white coat, long silky ears, and soft eyes that speak volumes, Nora is the very picture of understated elegance. But don’t let her quiet arrival fool you - this sweet, shy girl is on a journey of transformation, and with the right person by her side, she’s bound to bloom. Personality & Energy - Timid but loving – Nora is quite shy at first, as well as cautious around new situations and strangers. Once she warms up - she bonds very quickly, shows how big her heart is, and follows you everywhere! - Calm demeanor – She prefers short gentle activity or lounging close to her person. - Affectionate and clingy – She bonds deeply and wants nothing more than to be by your side (or on your lap if you let her!). Home Life & Compatibility - House-trained – Nora is doing great with regularly scheduled potty breaks and has a natural preference to potty outside. She will need continued training, she is very treat-motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement. She is eager to please her people! - Crate-trained... sort of – Nora tolerates the crate but would prefer not to be left alone. She settles much better when she’s near her people. At first, she welcomes the crate as her safe place, but as she becomes more acclimated to her new home, the less she wants to be crated. - Lap guardian – She may growl softly if another dog tries to interrupt her snuggle time. She’s not aggressive, just gently possessive. - Dogs – Nora enjoys the company of other dogs of all sizes with a similar demeanor. She occasionally runs zoomies but spends most of her time lounging by her humans. - Cats and kids – Unknown, but Nora would likely do best in an easygoing, quieter home with adults. Training & Growth - Learning Off, Stay, No, and responding well. Nora gently jumps on her people for attention. - Wants to please and will thrive with calm guidance and positive reinforcement. Very treat-motivated! - Still discovering toys and play - her inner puppy came out a few weeks into her foster home. Ideal Home Nora dreams of a peaceful life where she can tag along with her person, lounge in sunspots, and be the loyal little shadow she was born to be. Transitions can be a scary time, and she will need a patient family with a calm household who will give her time to feel safe and come out of her shell. She would not do well in an apartment or urban setting, and she would benefit from a home with a secure fence. She would also benefit from someone who is home more often than not, as she prefers not to be alone, but mostly she just wants someone patient and gentle who will let her unfold at her own pace. Nora is the kind of dog who shows devotion in the purest way — by never leaving your side. Whether walking from room to room or settling down to rest, she follows faithfully, a constant shadow of love and loyalty. Nora is looking for her forever family! Is that with you? Click "apply for adoption" to get your family started! Included Veterinary Care: - Up to date on vaccinations for her age - Spayed - Microchipped - Heartworm preventative - Flea and tick preventative - Worm/parasite treatments

Story
Maeby is a sweet and thoughtful young dog who loves dogs, respects cats, and wants a calm home where she can feel safe. She gives soft kisses, plays gently with kids, and enjoys simple moments with her people. She is quiet in her crate at night and is happy to retreat there when too much in happening in her home. Energy and Personality Maeby loves being outside. She fetches, explores, and gathers all her toys onto her bed before she settles. She is smart and eager to learn. She warms up slowly with new people in the home, but once she trusts someone, she gives deep affection. Training and Behavior Maeby is great on a leash. She is trainable and rewards help her stay focused. She has shown possessiveness over her own food, so meals and treats should be supervised around people and animals. She nipped at a resident child during a treat puzzle moment, so she needs a calm home with fewer surprises where she can feel secure and understood. Social Life Maeby enjoys the company of dogs and has lived comfortably with cats. She plays well with friendly dogs and loves gentle routines. A male dog would be a great match for her. She loves affection but prefers to approach at her own pace. Quirks and Special Traits • Toy collector • Gentle kisses • Quiet sleeper • Smart problem solver • Loves fresh air and yard time • Sensitive heart that bonds deeply Best Home Fit • A woman or a calm household • Older kids • A fenced yard • Cats or a polite male dog • Someone who understands a sensitive dog and wants to help her grow Maeby is adorable, bright, and full of promise. With patience and a steady routine, she will open up and give her heart fully. She is ready for a home that will guide her, cheer her on, and enjoy the sweet dog she is becoming.
