She’s a medium energy gal who loves to zoom and then take a nice long nap. She is fostered in a multi dog home and plays wonderfully with other dogs, she takes cues well and matches other dog’s play style. If her doggy friends are done playing she happily enters herself with toys and would also be fine as an only dog. Though she has not met any indoor cats with her calm demeanor she’d likely coexist well. Brownie has met children as young as two years old and is so gentle and patient. She’s the best gal and will thrive in any home.Brownie is fully crate trained and sleeps soundly overnight and for a few hours during the day when her foster is working. She is fully house trained. Brownie is eager to please and very food motivated, making her easy to train. She enjoys her daily walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for guidance in new situations. Brownie is looking for a family who will give her lots of cuddles and continue teaching her new tricks (and obviously giving her lots of treats). Is Brownie the missing piece in your family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Blondie is the epitome of calm and affectionate, making her the perfect companion for cozy evenings on the couch or in bed. Despite her laidback nature, she is keenly aware when the mail carrier or delivery driver shows up and will let you know (she's just trying to be helpful). Though she isn't particularly interested in toys or bones, Blondie's true joy comes from spending quality time with her humans. Blondie gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making her an excellent addition to a multi-pet household. She hasn’t played much with other dogs yet, but enjoys coexisting. She was introduced to two cats, in different homes, and ignored them both. Blondie has been around children ages 3-10, and was initially nervous around the younger child, but allowed kids of all ages to pet and love on her. Blondie crates quietly or is fine being gated, and is nearly house trained. She has alerted by going to the back door so her family will either need to watch for her alerts or take her out on a regular schedule. She is very gentle on leash.Blondie can be timid in new situations or with new people and is hoping to find a patient family that can go at her pace with guests or strangers. Story
Meet Mumford – the sweetest little old soul in a 31 lb beagle/shepherd mix body! This 5-year-old cutie is thoughtful, gentle, and just wants someone to love him. He may be a bit shy at first, but once he’s settled (give him a week or two!), he blossoms into the sweetest companion. He’s been coming out of his shell beautifully in his foster home, and we’re all smitten. Mumford is the kind of pup who feels deeply—he’ll quietly observe, take it all in, and then come curl up beside you once he knows he’s safe. He’d thrive in a calm, quiet home with another friendly dog to show him the ropes.  Bonus: he has a previously healed leg injury that just adds to his charm. Total character dog - he’s adorable and sweet and and a nice boy. best in a more quiet setting with another dog crate trainedhousebrokengood on leashneutered, vaccinated, microchipped_________fostered in Massachusetts. Story
Duke is a friendly Beagle who was found stray in Louisiana. He's about 1-2 years old and weighs about 32 lbs. Duke stayed with a foster for a few weeks in Louisiana before making his journey north. She reports that Duke is friendly and loves attention. He has been observed around kids, cats and her small dog and did fine. He was not destructive in her home, is not food aggressive. He walks well on a leash and is working on housebreaking. Duke loves attention and petting and can have some separation anxiety. He might feel a better sense of security with another dog in the home if being left alone. He tolerates the crate but may bark briefly. Duke won the hearts of his Louisiana fosters, and they would have kept him but could not have a second dog. Duke will be arriving in Massachusetts in late March.
