She is great with other dogs and would love a house that has a fenced in yard for her to run around and play so she can get her energy out.Mila Love is a little too interested in cats so a home without cats would be best for her. She’s been working hard on her crate training, settles quickly, and can be crated for a full work day. She is house trained and hasn’t had accidents in her foster home.Mila Love really loves going for walks and running around outside, but she is leash reactive to other dogs and would like a family willing to continue to help her continue her training in this area. She would be the perfect dog for an active family and would absolutely love another playful dog to keep her company.Mila is a wonderful pup who can’t wait to make herself right at home in her furever family’s heart! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.September 22, 2023, 5:22 pm

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse trained: MostlyMadrid is a sweet, goofy pup, who loves her humans and canine buddies! She is very smart and loves to learn new tricks. She has mastered sit, down, kiss,  and can even catch treats mid air!  Madrid will do well in any type of home, as she loves other dogs, adults and children. She is crate trained and will happily go in her crate for a treat, and hang out in there with her chew toys. Madrid is very good at taking all of the toys out of the toy basket, entertaining herself with toys, and taking cues from other dogs. Madrid is mostly house trained and would benefit from continuing being on a potty schedule to help her get to the finish line!Madrid loves adventures and is working on walking on a leash. She does amazing on solo walks, but can get easily distracted when walking with her buddies. Madrid loves riding in the car, and has a hard time staying awake when riding! Madrid loves to have the base of her tail scratched, toss around her favorite toys, chew on her favorite bones, and cuddle up with her people at the end of the day. She is a total sweetheart who will bring lots of joy to any household! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. Story
I adopted Percy from the northeast animal shelter in Salem MA when he was four months old. Percy just turned 6 years old in August. He's been with me for so long now, but sadly, I cannot properly take care of him anymore due to my own personal health reasons, as well as my work schedule. I would describe Percy as laid back, quiet, very loving, likes to cuddle next to you, likes chilling out/napping on the couch but also enjoys the outdoors. He has gotten shyer with other dogs over the years, but he is amazing with people, very affectionate and loving even with people he doesn't know, including kids.

Story
Frack is a sweet lemon beagle from the south. He is about a year old and currently a little underweight at 24 lbs. He is more shy than curious at the moment. He likes other dogs and people but is still nervous when held. Everything is overwhelming for him now, but with time, love and patience he will blossom. He is learning to be comfortable on a leash, but is not quite there yet. He will need a patient adopter to help introduce him to the world and continue his leash training. His ideal home would be with a confident dog to show him the ropes, a quiet family with children 13 years or older and someone who is home a lot so that he can continue to gain confidence around people and the world around him. Frack will be arriving in September.
