This handsome boy loves to explore and (true to his name) track squirrels or rabbits, but he’s also happy to entertain himself inside. Tracker is looking for a family that’s familiar with hunting breeds and will help him feel safe and comfortable in his new environment.Tracker sometimes gets shy, especially in loud or boisterous settings, and hopes his new family will advocate for him to take introductions to new people at his own speed. Once he’s had a chance to get comfortable, he is ready for snuggles from anyone with an open lap! Tracker has done great with the kids he’s met and would likely do well with dog-savvy kids of any age who know to let him approach them for play or cuddles. He adores other dogs and would love to have a confident canine sibling to look up to and play with.Tracker has done very well with his crate training. He settles in quickly, and with consistency and encouragement he’ll perfect his crate skills in no time. Tracker is house trained and will go to the door to alert. He walks well on his leash and enjoys going for strolls. Like any hunting dog, Tracker has a “hunt” mode, but he’s been working hard to learn to redirect and focus even when there’s a squirrel taunting him. He has been learning “back,” “sit,” and “wait,” and this smart boy does well with the mental stimulation of training.Tracker is an easygoing boy who is ready to sniff his way into his forever home. Is there room on your couch for him? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
Brandy, aka Bandit is a sweet, friendly girl that has gone through a very difficult time. She was found chained outside after her owner passed away. She had a deep laceration in her neck most likely due to her trying to get off the chain. She was placed on antibiotics and put into a foster home while she healed. Bandit will always have a scar on her neck, but she is ready to find her forever home. Brandy is very timid and getting used to being around people again. But she has shown that she warms up to be a very affectionate girl, especially with kids. To ease the process of her coming out of her shell, Brandy's new home should be in a quiet suburban or rural area and have a fenced in yard. She requires the companionship of another dog. She is a lap dog and loves belly rubs! Brandy is a very well-behaved girl! She is good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. She barks outside, but inside she is very quiet. She is house and crate-trained and walks well on leash. This medium energy girl is about 3 yrs old and 38 lbs, and has arrived in Massachusetts.

Story
Rambo is an owner surrender from the south. He may have been a failed hunting dog. This friendly boy is about 2 years old and 23 lbs. He can be a bit timid and skittish, but is good with dogs and kids of all ages. Rambo's ideal home would be quiet and have a fenced in yard. This sweet little guy is vocal, medium energy, and crate-trained. Rambo is epileptic and will need to be on medication for the rest of his life. Medication will not completely resolve the seizures. The goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of them. Rambo is expected to arrive in MA by mid-March.

Story
Tyson is a sweet and friendly beagle mix from the south. He is a very energetic boy and was vocal in the kennel, but is much quieter now that he is in a home. Tyson is very playful and has been taking direction from the other dogs in his foster home when he gets too playful for them. He entertains himself well as long as there are plenty of toys and bones to play with. He is good with other dogs doing better with calmer ones. He is currently living with cats and is doing well. His ideal home would be with an active family and a fenced in yard. Tyson is being fostered south of Boston.

Story
Eileen in new to the rescue. We were contacted by a southern shelter with the following information, “Meet Eileen. The sweet little beagle was found injured along the side of a rural road. After a stay with the vet and the love of a foster mom, Eileen has fully recovered. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle. Even when she had her cast, she had lots of energy. She is house trained. Eileen gets along with other dogs, and we do not know what she thinks of cats. She is now fully healed up and ready to live out the rest of her life as part of a loving family. Please help this sweet girl find her forever home.” Eileen is about 4 years old and weighs 18 pounds. She is settling in with our southern foster. So far, she has been a little timid, but we are confident once she gets comfortable, this sweet little girl’s personality will shine. Eileen is expected to arrive in Massachusetts in March.
