Story
Hello, I’m Laly. I was abandoned with two other dogs and a thick tight rope around my neck. Needless to say, I was scared and weary when a good Samaritan picked me up, but since then, things have been getting better. Even though I’m still a bit frightened and a little overwhelmed with everything that’s been going on, I am friendly and like to please. I just need a bit more time, and lots of TLC, and I am sure to thrive. I don’t want to be picky but I really want a home that’s forever. Maybe with you? If you are interested in meeting Laly, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.[Laly is about 3 years old and weighs 21 lbs. as of May 2023] (2305)

IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more. Below, under our The Nature Network CONTACT INFO you can find a “DONATION” link. We are deeply grateful for help. To meet us, help us, or if you know people or businesses who would like to, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal Giving email address for donation and sponsorship). Mailing: The Nature Network Inc., 3826 Grand View Blvd., #66790, Los Angeles, CA 90066. We are not like many larger non-profits who use up to 90% of all funds on expensive advertising, enormous salaries, social media, and human expenses. Our veterinary references are available upon request. WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING SPONSORS INTO OUR SPONSORSHIP/ADOPTION PROGRAM, FOR THE DOGS WE HAVE RESCUED WHICH ARE UNABLE TO BE ADOPTED. SPONSORSHIP INCLUDES MEETING THE PUP YOU WILL SPONSOR. Please contact us for more details about our sponsorship/adoption program. SPENCER has always been Special-Needs, only now more so. Spencer is partially blind and unable to be adopted because he was abused in his formative years, as the "pet" of a gang member who was incarcerated for murder (we rescued Spencer from the L.A. South Central shelter), and can bite if caught off-guard or busy eating. Spencer is a feisty 15 pound, 14 year old (now has gotten white face fur) Miniature Beagle/Boston Terrier boy. Spencer is now on seven medications--four for his eyes which have multiple issues besides cataracts--and three for his congestive heart failure and his pulmonary hypertension. He is doing great, recently had all his teeth cleaned plus two small extractions, and made it through careful anesthesia and local nerve blocks--on all four cylinders and going strong! If adoptable, Spencer would make a good companion for a nice, quiet home--a calm, structured adult household where he would feel secure. He looks like a permanent puppy with 4 tiny white feet and chest, and pure black sleek, shiny body--canine version of a Tuxedo Cat. A home without school-aged children would be of utmost importance. Spencer will bite children, and might try to bite strangers and people he does not know well if they try and pet him. Spencer is eager to learn, extremely smart and willfull, so you must definitely and firmly be the boss. We recommend a home where he is the only pet or that the other dog is a completely mellow, imperturbable lab retriever type--his best friend here is a female Black Lab. Non-destructive, housetrained, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, all vaccinations & med records current. To meet Spencer please contact: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our Paypal donation email address)

Shiny is a Freedom Flyer from the Go-Sung city shelter in South Korea, rescued by Korean K9 Rescue, to be flown to America to start his new best life here! He arrived in Los Angeles on 2/12/23. Shiny is estimated* to be a 7-9 year old, 24 pound, male Beagle. He has very soft fur - and is described by his South Korean rescuers as lovely and sweet! Shiny is a very nice boy, truly sweet & friendly with people and other dogs. He enjoys the company of kids with good doggy manners, and loves to be pet, making him an ideal family companion. 3/12/23 UPDATE FROM SHINY’S FOSTER MOM: Shiny barks when on walks, and also barks at home when he gets anxious about his primary person not being at home (even if someone else is there). He will do best in a home without common walls, with a dog sibling, and with a backyard to help him to be more comfortable in situations that stress him. He marks, but belly bands help. *Estimated ages for rescue dogs are generally established by veterinary examination of teeth, eyes, coat, etc. You can learn more about Shiny on our website: https://www.campcocker.com/shiny To apply to adopt Shiny, start here to learn more about our adoption process: https://www.campcocker.com/adoptionprocess FOR FREQUENT UPDATES, MORE PHOTOS & VIDEOS, FOLLOW US ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA -&- ON SHINY'S WEBSITE AT WWW.CAMPCOCKER.COM/shiny June 3, 2023, 7:10 pm
