Story
Meet Ruby Tuesday, a sweet girl with a playful personality and a little bit of a mischievous streak! This adorable Beagle is very food motivated and will happily try to steal your snacks if you aren't looking, so keeping people food safely out of her reach will be important. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, Ruby loves to play fetch and snuggle up in bed with her people.Ruby would do best without cats or small pets and may be happiest as the only dog in the home, especially since she prefers not to share her food with other pets. She is looking for a home with kids 14+ and, because she has a Beagle's enthusiasm for sharing her opinions, a home without shared walls would be ideal. If you're looking for a sweet girl with a playful side, a love of cuddles, and just enough mischief to keep life interesting, Ruby Tuesday might be the one you've been waiting for!August 31, 2026, 11:11 pm

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Pops finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Meet Pops | 8-year-old Beagle mix, 50# | Playful, Cuddly, and Curious Meet Pops, a lovable 8-year-old Beagle mix who perfectly balances playtime and relaxation. Pops is house-trained (though, like any dog, occasional accidents may happen as he adjusts to a new home), sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, and is a total gentleman when left home alone. He’s happiest with a few daily walks and loves playing tug-of-war or games where he has to search for treats. For downtime, he enjoys cuddling on the couch or lounging in a recliner chair. True to his Beagle nature, Pops loves to follow his nose and can get excited when he spots rabbits, squirrels, or other dogs during walks. He’s been working with a trainer and continues to make progress with his leash manners. He does best with smaller dogs and can be reactive toward dogs his size or larger, so a home without other big dogs would be ideal. Pops adores human companionship—he’ll happily curl up beside you on the couch or rest his head on your lap. Motivated by both food and affection, he thrives with a little structure and consistency. Pops would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely sniff, explore, and satisfy his curious Beagle instincts. The ideal home for Pops will be active and structured, with someone who enjoys outdoor adventures as much as he does, no cats, and children aged 10 and up. With his affectionate nature, playful spirit, and love of snuggles, Pops is ready to be both your adventure buddy and your cozy companion at the end of the day. Click here to see more photos and videos of Pops!   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hi. I'm Bill the Beagle. I'm a sweet boy. I sometimes take some time to get acquainted with other dogs, but once I do - all I want to do is play, play, play. I'm also special. You see, I have heartworms. Polk County Humane Society will pay for the treatment, but I'll need to have some special care for a few months (antibiotics, steriod pills, injections) and I'll need to be kept relatively calm after my treatments. I will be worth it and I'd even love it if you'd foster me during my treatment period. The injections will likely need to be done in Bolivar, MO, so might require 3 trips to the vet there. Just to keep in mind if you think I might be the best beagle in the world for you. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2815464##

Story
Teddy is a pure breed basset born in Alabama from a breeder that I dont remember. He was born may 5 2024. He is a good dog but I had some life issues and had to move and no longer have a backyard or time to take him outside properly. He has had trouble going potty inside but he wasn't doing that when he had somewhere else to go. He is skidish around new kids but once he mets them he is supper friendly. He is a good dog and If i could keep him I would. Unfortunately I dont have an area to keep him, or enough time to give him what he needs. I hope someone else can.
