Story
Hi there! My name is Bill Nye and I am a superstar here at the shelter! I do love to talk and enjoy a good snuggle session. I have lived with dogs, cats, and older children and did pretty well! I seem to be a laid back sort of pup who would love all sorts of walks and adventures! What I Need in My Home*I can be a bit vocal sometimes, I may not do the best in apartments or condos*I have been known to chase squirrels and other small critters- I may not do well in a home with small mammals

Story
Zack is a happy, busy, energetic guy and a great walker. He's quite friendly and social and gets very excited when he meets new people. He has to shake the wiggles out before he's ready to calm down, leash up and go for a walk. Zack's a grown up guy with a teenaged spirit and will do best in a home with experienced owners who will provide consistent positive reinforcement training. He thinks it's his job to chase squirrels and outdoor cats and so we recommend a home with no small animals. He's not spent time with other dogs so would want to meet any dogs in your home for a long visit. He'd probably be happiest as the only pet. Since he's bouncy, bubbly and energetic we recommend a home with older children. Come meet this social butterfly!June 25, 2026, 9:17 pm

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We rescued Daisy in Oklahoma 6 years ago. After doing a DNA test, we found out she is highly inbred, which likely explains a lot of her behavioral issues. Physically, she is only 12 pounds and in great shape, but behaviorally she has a lot of challenges. We have been working with an experienced trainer since moving to Colorado, and she has explained the effects of the inbreeding to us. Daisy does not know how to "turn off." She gets overstimulated very easily and gets stuck in patterns that she thinks is self-soothing but actually keeps overstimulating her (ex. Seeking physical affection then growling at the person petting her; growling/howling when she is with me and my partner moves around in another room of the house; licking things obsessively). After a lot of discussion, we believe she needs a one-person household with no other animals and a strict routine to thrive. She also needs a patient human who ideally can take her outdoors a lot as she loves to sniff and explore.

Story
Robin is a very sweet and lovable companion that loves to be by your side and cuddle. She does have some behavior issues around other animals when on leash - however at the dog park when off the leash she loves to play with all the other dogs. And can sometimes be selective about people that she likes to be around.Food of course can be a guarded resource, and she likes to have sole access, will be aggressive if others are around.Robin barks at typical yard animals and passersby, less of an alarm and more of a presence detector but is manageable. Indoor barking is minimum.Robin takes a nightly pill to help with bladder issues, but for the most part she doesn't have any problems being inside.Robin is very well mannered indoors, she does not jump up on counters or tables, does not chew everything in sight.
