Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Story
Wilbur is not a Spotty Dog.  If you're interested in meeting him, please call Anne 203-219-2663 or email annewilkinson@gmail.com Wilbur is a 70 pound, almost 7-year-old mixed breed neutered male. A dog DNA test listed him as 1/4 each beagle, husky, AmericanStaffordshire terrier and the last quarter was a bit of everything.Wilbur was adopted in December 2019 as a ~4 month old puppy from Companion Pet Rescue (I have contacted them twice about taking Wilbur, with no reply). Due to many life changes and health issues within the family, we can no longer keep him.Wilbur has met other dogs and been indifferent to them. We have aggressive cats that do not want him around but he was curious about them and when he got swatted by one, he backed off but did not try to hurt it., He has met children but has not lived with any. He will probably be fine in a home with another dog or dog savvy cats. Wilbur is incredibly friendly, loves _everyone_, and wants nothing more than to be with his humans as much as possible. If there is a heavy duty chew toy around he’ll be in heaven. He loves walks and chances to sniff around in new places or on car rides. He does well at home alone, although he will need time to adjust in a new home, as he can be anxious. He is crate trained, but is OK home not in his crate, too.  Wilbur is leash trained although he does pull some. He will sit and lay down on command and come if he feels like it or you have a treat. He has been known to “counter surf”. He also is a dog with opinions and if he doesn’t want to do something (get in a new car, have his nails clipped, be groomed at the groomer) it is tough to get him on board! He will sometimes snap when he doesn't want to do something, but only as a warning. I do have to give him an anti-anxiety med to take him to the vet to have his nails clipped. Between West Haven Animal Clinic and ShotVet, he is up to date on his shots and in good health.  Wilbur is an incredibly loving dog who has plenty of moments of playfulness. He will be a great companion for years to come, and I desperately want to find him a better home than the one we have unfortunately been able to give him. ##2763467##

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. LILIANA is a 6yo Beagle mix female. This makes her a "low-rider" -- short legs. She weighs 30#s. Liliana is a very sweet and sensitive dog. She likes to lay in the bed with me and snuggle up next to me or sometimes sleep at the foot-rest of my bed. She adopted me immediately and enjoys to be with me. She loves playing with all my dogs from small to big dogs. Liliana thinks she is a “lap” dog. I call her a “couch potato.” She is crate trained; leash trained (very easy); house trained; and loves to go riding in a car or going for a walk. She definitely a human-pleasing dog. She doesn’t have any prey driven instincts when she sees squirrels or cats on the walks. Liliana also has a very sweet attitude towards people in general. As much as we have not had her around children, she is very nice to all ages. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Name: Jessie Breed: Beagle mix…maybe? Possibly Beagle/Chihuahua/Pug/mystery Age: 4 years Sex: Female Weight: 22 lbs Medical note: She has a grade 2-3 heart murmur. This has not affected her at all while in rescue, but something her new family should be aware of. Before OMD: Jessie was surrendered to a local shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. Energy Level: Medium. Jessie loves outdoor adventures and playtime, but she also takes her relaxation very seriously and is happiest when she has a cozy spot to settle into. Affection Level: High. Jessie is a true snuggle bug who loves being close to her person. Forehead kisses and being told she’s cute are strongly encouraged. Stranger Danger: Jessie is friendly with new people (and has met quite a few while in rescue) but may need a quick second to warm up and will look to her person for reassurance at first. Once she feels comfortable, she settles in nicely. What we love most: Those big floppy ears. That tiny snoot. The way she will suddenly throw herself onto the ground without warning to request a belly rub (no warning, no buildup. she just drops and presents her belly like royalty). She is smart, sassy, and full of personality. What she loves most: Laundry baskets (for napping, obviously), car rides, soft couches, being outside, her people, and licking an empty Starbucks cup like it’s her full-time job. Cute quirk: Every morning before going outside, Jessie does three big stretches. Not one. Not two. Three. It’s a whole routine. She also has a talent for finding the softest spot in any room and claiming it as her bed. Vocals: Jessie is expressive at times, and will let you know when she has something to say. She would do best in a house rather than an apartment or condo. What she knows: Sit, stay, come, paw, and lay down. She is bright and eager to learn more. Food Motivation Level: Very food motivated! She should be fed separately from other pets though, as she prefers her dining space to herself. She is completely comfortable with people around her food and does not guard with humans, just other animals. House-trained: Completely mastered. Crate-trained: Not currently crated in foster home, but she would likely enjoy a cozy crate or gated space. Dogs: Jessie does best with calm, low-to-medium energy submissive/tolerant dogs who respect her space. She will absolutely get sassy with other dogs and growl at them – she also guards her food and her soft cozy beds and couch spots (again, just with animals, not people). She could also happily be the only dog in the home. Cats: She mostly ignores them unless they get in her food bowl or her bed. Kids: Best suited for savvy kids 8+ who understand boundaries Ideal Home: Jessie wants to be your sidekick. She loves being included, going places, and spending quality time with her people. A semi-active home that enjoys the outdoors, keeps her mind engaged, and offers plenty of cozy snuggle time would be perfect for her. She has so much love to give to the right family. Jessie is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If interested in adoption, please apply at omdrescue.org
