She’s 37lbs and looks Iike a lab puppy. Shes likes to snuggle, play outside and chill in her bed. She’s very lovable. She has annual checkups and is 100% current on all vaccines and, license and, she’s microchipped. While Natasha is affectionate and loyal with adults, shes not comfortable around other dogs or children. Because of this, we-need a home without kids and without other pets. In the right environment she will thrive on routine, quiet companionship, and one to one attention.

Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. Are you looking for a cuddly couch potato who also enjoys snacks and slow strolls around the neighborhood? Meet Iris! She is a 5ish year-old lemon Beagle with a tail that never stops wagging and the sweetest face. Iris is a very short and petite lady ("pocket" Beagle perhaps?) weighing in at a chubby 18 lbs. She likely needs to be closer to 15 lbs. She was found abandoned on a rural Louisiana road in early October 2025. Iris' foster mom says, "Iris is such a joy. She has a huge heart with lots of love to give. Her favorite place in the world is sitting on the couch next to her person. She is always up for pets, kisses, and treats. She likes to go on walks and sniff every single blade of grass. Her hound dog nose can get her into trouble, so she needs to be on leash or supervised in a securely fenced yard. Otherwise, she will go wherever her nose leads her. Her tail never stops wagging and she does an adorable army crawl when she gets nervous (check out her rescue video in her album below). Iris has had limited interactions with small children but seems to enjoy being around them (and their snacks). She gets along well with other dogs and cats. Iris will get grumbly when she is lying comfortably on the couch and another dog disturbs her. She has not ever bitten or started a fight. She will let other dogs cuddle with her but likes to fuss about it at first. Iris deserves a home where she can have lots of couch time and be spoiled and pampered. I know she will make her new family extremely happy! I will miss her silly little waddle walk, her soft ears, and precious face." Upon rescue, she did test positive for heartworms, but has been treated and as of 1/12/26, Iris is heartworm free! She has also had a recent dental cleaning. All this darling girl needs now is a home! Iris is currently in foster care in North Louisiana, but we welcome out of state adoptions. 6 years old Casey is only 24 lb and very sweet and loving. He loves to get petted and loves being a velcro dog. He can be a single dog or have a home with another. Casey is quite an easy pup as long as he gets to be around his human. His foster mom adores him. She takes him to her work and her coworkers take turns to spend time with him. True to his breed, he will bark when left alone as he gets too attached to his humans. So he needs to either go to a home where his parent(s) work from home, or are retired, or he can go to daycare in their absence. He is also very obedient, housebroken, and very well-behaved. Casie has a very sad story and therefore we are looking for the kindest, most patient home for him. Casie was saved from a local high kill shelter in Houston where his sister and him were brought in as found animals. However, the owner, when contacted via microchip, came in and took the sister and left Casie behind as he could only afford one of them. Casie was a staff favorite and he got out. He then went to an adoptive home where he was very loved, but their existing dog was not ready to have a new friend, and got jealous, and never accepted Casie. So amidst tears, they had to return the sweet boy Casie now lives in a foster home with multiple dogs and cats and does very well with everyone. He will do great in a home where he gets a lot of attention, walks, and stability. Casie is fully vetted, neutered, chipped, heartworm negative and is kept on preventatives. Casie's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
