Story
Name: Jessie Breed: Beagle mix…maybe? Possibly Beagle/Chihuahua/Pug/mystery Age: 4 years Sex: Female Weight: 22 lbs Medical note: She has a grade 2-3 heart murmur. This has not affected her at all while in rescue, but something her new family should be aware of. Before OMD: Jessie was surrendered to a local shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. Energy Level: Medium. Jessie loves outdoor adventures and playtime, but she also takes her relaxation very seriously and is happiest when she has a cozy spot to settle into. Affection Level: High. Jessie is a true snuggle bug who loves being close to her person. Forehead kisses and being told she’s cute are strongly encouraged. Stranger Danger: Jessie is friendly with new people (and has met quite a few while in rescue) but may need a quick second to warm up and will look to her person for reassurance at first. Once she feels comfortable, she settles in nicely. What we love most: Those big floppy ears. That tiny snoot. The way she will suddenly throw herself onto the ground without warning to request a belly rub (no warning, no buildup. she just drops and presents her belly like royalty). She is smart, sassy, and full of personality. What she loves most: Laundry baskets (for napping, obviously), car rides, soft couches, being outside, her people, and licking an empty Starbucks cup like it’s her full-time job. Cute quirk: Every morning before going outside, Jessie does three big stretches. Not one. Not two. Three. It’s a whole routine. She also has a talent for finding the softest spot in any room and claiming it as her bed. Vocals: Jessie is expressive at times, and will let you know when she has something to say. She would do best in a house rather than an apartment or condo. What she knows: Sit, stay, come, paw, and lay down. She is bright and eager to learn more. Food Motivation Level: Very food motivated! She should be fed separately from other pets though, as she prefers her dining space to herself. She is completely comfortable with people around her food and does not guard with humans, just other animals. House-trained: Completely mastered. Crate-trained: Not currently crated in foster home, but she would likely enjoy a cozy crate or gated space. Dogs: Jessie does best with calm, low-to-medium energy submissive/tolerant dogs who respect her space. She will absolutely get sassy with other dogs and growl at them – she also guards her food and her soft cozy beds and couch spots (again, just with animals, not people). She could also happily be the only dog in the home. Cats: She mostly ignores them unless they get in her food bowl or her bed. Kids: Best suited for savvy kids 8+ who understand boundaries Ideal Home: Jessie wants to be your sidekick. She loves being included, going places, and spending quality time with her people. A semi-active home that enjoys the outdoors, keeps her mind engaged, and offers plenty of cozy snuggle time would be perfect for her. She has so much love to give to the right family. Jessie is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If interested in adoption, please apply at omdrescue.org

Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Story
MEET BELLA! ... What a dollface Beagle/Heeler who is 8 months old, 32 lbs as of 6/20/26. Bella is a very good, loving pup. She is doing wonderful in her foster home. She is house, crate, leash trained. Enjoys being snuggled, playing, toys, treats. Does fine with the other dogs and with all adults and kids she has met. 5 kids in her foster home. Bella was a stray with her momma to a hotel in Dresden, TN. Someone staying there had been feeding them. Her mom sadly got hit by a vehicle and it killed her. Somehow he found my cell number and called asking for help with the pup. Her foster mom went to pick up immediately. Fully vetted including spay, vaccinations, 4dx heartworm test was all clear, and on preventatives. Currently located in Martin, (West TN). Transport out of state can be arranged with additional cost of $185. Contact Lisa at 731-499-0739 or oatsvall973@yahoo.com.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. LILIANA is a 6yo Beagle mix female. This makes her a "low-rider" -- short legs. She weighs 30#s. Liliana is a very sweet and sensitive dog. She likes to lay in the bed with me and snuggle up next to me or sometimes sleep at the foot-rest of my bed. She adopted me immediately and enjoys to be with me. She loves playing with all my dogs from small to big dogs. Liliana thinks she is a “lap” dog. I call her a “couch potato.” She is crate trained; leash trained (very easy); house trained; and loves to go riding in a car or going for a walk. She definitely a human-pleasing dog. She doesn’t have any prey driven instincts when she sees squirrels or cats on the walks. Liliana also has a very sweet attitude towards people in general. As much as we have not had her around children, she is very nice to all ages. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. Heidi was a stray that wandered up to a house and wouldn't leave. After trying for 2 weeks to find the owner, she was brought in. She is a very sweet girl who has had some training. She does well on a leash, know how to sit and shake. She is best as the only dog, or one with boundaries. She does well with other pups but does guard her food and toys. Not sure what her history is but it can be worked with but maybe not fixed completely. She is a great size and has done well with strangers and kids. Not sure about cats. She is a great pup just needing a new home. She does not like storms or loud noises.

Story
If you’re looking for a wrinkly, cuddly, booty-scratch-loving best friend who will stick by your side and fill your days with sweetness, Butterscotch is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! Y’all…Butterscotch is sweet as pie and a perfectly squatty, slightly chunky little potato with the most incredible wrinkles you’ve ever seen. Seriously… forehead wrinkles, body wrinkles, all-the-time wrinkles. Add in her beautiful green eyes, adorable little white socks, and her golden glow, and you’ve got a total heart-stealer. But somehow, as cute as she is, her personality might be even better. She's the kind of dog that quietly works her way into your heart until one day you realize she's become your favorite little shadow. Watch Butterscotch Pie's video here to see her belly and booty get all the scratches! https://youtu.be/PvN9G49-kWc?si=FReCLlIEqJAJtLGb Butterscotch is about 3 years old, currently weighs around 55 lbs, and we believe she may be a Beagle/Lab mix. As with any rescue dog, breed is always a bit of a mystery, but one thing we know for sure is that Butterscotch is 100% perfect. Butterscotch is a people girl through and through. She opens up quickly with new friends and absolutely loves being close to her humans. Her foster describes her as a big cuddler who's always nearby, following her around like a little shadow and even sleeping by her head every night. She has such a calm, comforting presence about her that it's easy to forget she's even there... until you look down and realize she's quietly been keeping you company the whole time. And when it comes to affection, this girl is all in. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite activity (she'll dramatically flop right over for them), booty scratches are a close second, and if you happen to have an empty lap, don't be surprised if she decides it's hers. Apparently, Butterscotch never got the memo that she's not actually a lap dog. While she's definitely a cuddle bug, she also enjoys getting outside and enjoying the fresh air. Her foster says they spend hours in the backyard together, where Butterscotch loves wandering around, soaking up the sunshine, and even taking the occasional dip in her little dog pool. Every evening she and a couple of the other foster dogs break out into zoomies together, happily chasing each other around before settling back down for the night. She isn't much of a toy dog, but hand her a good chew stick and she's perfectly content. Just don't be surprised if a squirrel runs by... suddenly this mellow little potato remembers she has some hunting dog mixed in there somewhere. Butterscotch has done wonderfully living with several other dogs of different ages and sizes and enjoys having canine companions around. She’s not the type that is looking for a 24/7 playmate in the home. She’s more looking for a companion that has her cool, calm, collected tempo. Not to say that she never plays because she does, it’s just in short bursts and when she’s feeling spry. Butterscotch would also do just as well soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Cats, however, are a little too exciting for her, so we'd recommend a cat-free home. One thing her foster wanted future adopters to know is that she may need a little time to fully decompress after going home. She took a couple of weeks before really settling into foster care, but once she did, she became the sweetest little shadow dog. We honestly think that makes the bond even more special because when Butterscotch decides you're her person, she's completely devoted. Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment, although she'd absolutely love having a backyard to explore since being outside is one of her favorite things. Whether she's sunbathing, rolling around in the grass, quietly following you from room to room, or convincing you that one more belly rub is absolutely necessary, she's simply happiest being with her people. If you've been searching for a wrinkly, cuddly, booty-scratch-loving best friend who will happily become your little shadow, Butterscotch is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart.
