Story
Meet Grady—"The Perfect Family Companion." Grady is an absolutely sweet, 4 yr. old Purebred Beagle with a "melt your heart" face and adorable floppy ears. He is a beautiful fellow with a coat as soft as velvet in a striking combination of glacier white and sparkling high gloss black and copper.. Grady is an easy-going, gentle guy who thrives on attention. His favorite spot in the world is snuggling on a soft blanket as close to you as possible, resting his head right in your lap. He is deeply affectionate, devoted, and a true joy to be around. He adores everyone he meets, is great with other dogs, and is even fine with cats. This smart fellow is always alert and in-tune with his surroundings. He is treat-motivated, making training a breeze, and he is highly respectful of his home environment. Whether it’s joining you for an early morning walk, riding along for errands, or simply relaxing on the sofa while you watch a movie, Grady’s only wish is to be by your side. We feel the perfect home for Grady would be one as laid-back as he is—whether that’s with a couple, a single individual, or a family with children. If you are looking for a companion who is gentle, affectionate, and deeply trusting, Grady is your pup! He is a true treasure waiting to find his forever family. He is currently with his foster family in Kentucky and will arrive in the New England area via pet transport once he is adopted. His adoption fee which includes his transport is $575. He is Neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and up to date on heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. If you would like to learn more and are interested in adopting the first step is to complete an adoption application. Please contact us at MMAY@KYLABRESCUE.COM to request an application or for any further information.

Story
Name: Jessie Breed: Beagle mix…maybe? Possibly Beagle/Chihuahua/Pug/mystery Age: 4 years Sex: Female Weight: 22 lbs Medical note: She has a grade 2-3 heart murmur. This has not affected her at all while in rescue, but something her new family should be aware of. Before OMD: Jessie was surrendered to a local shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. Energy Level: Medium. Jessie loves outdoor adventures and playtime, but she also takes her relaxation very seriously and is happiest when she has a cozy spot to settle into. Affection Level: High. Jessie is a true snuggle bug who loves being close to her person. Forehead kisses and being told she’s cute are strongly encouraged. Stranger Danger: Jessie is friendly with new people (and has met quite a few while in rescue) but may need a quick second to warm up and will look to her person for reassurance at first. Once she feels comfortable, she settles in nicely. What we love most: Those big floppy ears. That tiny snoot. The way she will suddenly throw herself onto the ground without warning to request a belly rub (no warning, no buildup. she just drops and presents her belly like royalty). She is smart, sassy, and full of personality. What she loves most: Laundry baskets (for napping, obviously), car rides, soft couches, being outside, her people, and licking an empty Starbucks cup like it’s her full-time job. Cute quirk: Every morning before going outside, Jessie does three big stretches. Not one. Not two. Three. It’s a whole routine. She also has a talent for finding the softest spot in any room and claiming it as her bed. Vocals: Jessie is expressive at times, and will let you know when she has something to say. She would do best in a house rather than an apartment or condo. What she knows: Sit, stay, come, paw, and lay down. She is bright and eager to learn more. Food Motivation Level: Very food motivated! She should be fed separately from other pets though, as she prefers her dining space to herself. She is completely comfortable with people around her food and does not guard with humans, just other animals. House-trained: Completely mastered. Crate-trained: Not currently crated in foster home, but she would likely enjoy a cozy crate or gated space. Dogs: Jessie does best with calm, low-to-medium energy submissive/tolerant dogs who respect her space. She will absolutely get sassy with other dogs and growl at them – she also guards her food and her soft cozy beds and couch spots (again, just with animals, not people). She could also happily be the only dog in the home. Cats: She mostly ignores them unless they get in her food bowl or her bed. Kids: Best suited for savvy kids 8+ who understand boundaries Ideal Home: Jessie wants to be your sidekick. She loves being included, going places, and spending quality time with her people. A semi-active home that enjoys the outdoors, keeps her mind engaged, and offers plenty of cozy snuggle time would be perfect for her. She has so much love to give to the right family. Jessie is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If interested in adoption, please apply at omdrescue.org

Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

He is a wonderful family companion dog that loves to hang out with his people and go for walks. He gets along with children. He is house trained and walks on leash. He currently lives in a retirement community, but his mom has a hard time taking him on his daily walks due to her health and he needs a loving family that will take him for walks that he really enjoys. Story
Meet Butterscotch Pie💛a perfectly squatty, slightly chunky little potato with the most incredible wrinkles you’ve ever seen. Seriously… forehead wrinkles, body wrinkles, all-the-time wrinkles. Add in her beautiful green eyes, adorable little white socks, and her golden glow, and you’ve got a total heart-stealer. She’s about 3 years old, and our best guess is a beagle/lab mix, but what we know for sure is that she’s 100% perfect. Butterscotch is a people girl through and through. She opens up quickly with new friends and is overflowing with affection. She loves being right next to her humans and is a bit of a Velcro dog, following you around, settling close by, and soaking up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite activity (she will dramatically plop right over for them), and booty scratches are a close second! She arches her back and leans into them like a pro. She’s also happy to jump up for affection and will gladly tolerate being scooped up when needed. Watch Butterscotch Pie’s video here to see her belly and booty get all the scratches! https://youtu.be/NniJiyLua5E?si=47eE1EB3aa7_FlzA On leash, Butterscotch is a pretty easy walk. She’s responsive, checks in quickly, and doesn’t need much guidance, just gentle handling and calm movements, as she can flinch with sudden leash motions. She’s eager to please and enjoys going out with her people. With dogs, Butterscotch is currently more polite than playful. She can be a bit insecure at first, especially with higher-energy or pushy dogs, but she communicates clearly and appropriately when she needs space. She’s done best with calmer, respectful dogs and would be happiest with a low to medium-energy dog sibling who matches her vibe. With time and confidence, she may become more playful, but right now she prefers relaxed companionship and roaming together over roughhousing. Cats are a no for Butterscotch — they’re just a little too interesting for her. Butterscotch absolutely nailed her kid test! She was incredibly calm, gentle, and loving with the kiddos—showering them with sweet face kisses, happily sitting in their laps, and soaking up every bit of attention. Her favorite move? Flopping right over for belly rubs any chance she got and very politely demanding more the second you stopped. She was relaxed, affectionate, and completely comfortable, showing just how much she enjoys being around children. With her sweet nature and family-friendly heart, Butterscotch would make an amazing family dog who’s ready to love her people with her whole soul. Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment. She may need a short adjustment period to fully settle in, but once she does, she blossoms into a loving, loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be near her people. If you’re looking for a wrinkly, cuddly, booty-scratch-loving best friend who will stick by your side and fill your days with sweetness, Butterscotch is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! ❤️ Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application.
