This handsome boy is 1-year-old Twix. This beagle/lab/pointer mix was surrendered to PAWS by his owner as family members developed allergies to his fur. Twix is a sweet boy who knows his sit and down commands and loves to meet new people. He has a lot of energy and can be a bit of a puller on the leash. But he is eager to please and should respond well to consistent training. He lived with an 11-year-old boy and was good with him, and he plays well with other dogs. Twix is housetrained and partially crate trained. Twix would do best in an active household where he can get lots of exercise. He will make an ideal hiking/jogging/swimming companion. Twix is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION Pringles is currently in foster care in Houston, Tx, We ship our dogs with Mighty Mutt Shipping IF INTERESTED THERE IS AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE https://www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ This sweet boy has had a rough life, he is approx 4 years old and 43 lbs.. we are not sure of his breed mix, but he may have some Beagle/lab in him.. he is a really nice dog, when we rescued him from the local shelter, he had been found dragging his back leg into a local business and they called animal control to pick him up, his left back leg was broken in several places and he had heart worms. we treated his heartworms according to the AHS recommendations but our Orthopedic Surgeon was unable to repair his leg as it was an old injury and had already set into place, so the only option was to amputate .. he hops around really well and is a lot happier now that he does not have to drag his leg around, he is house and crate trained and will run into his crate to sleep and will hang out in a doggie bed with the other dogs during the day..he is a bit of a Loner and doesn't like to play with the other dogs, but does well with them, he would rather hang out with a chew stick... so he would be a great companion for someone as an only dog or with a sweet laid back buddy.. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TX OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years. WE REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. SOOOO SWEET and will be perfect for those looking for all around great family dog as as he is prob going to be a small medium sized dog and is super trainable at this young age! He is TOO TINY to go outside fully on public dirt as he is still too small to have all the necessary vaccine rounds vs other younger puppies who are older and so he is still susceptible to parvo and distemper. He is great with children, dogs and cats too. Can't be a better fit for most families! Wiggles is truly special and are coming a long way for love. Again he will likely grow to be a small medium sized dog - not too small and not too big. WE DO NOT DNA TEST for breeds so you adopt and love what you get no matter what tests tell you or do not apply... Wiggles at his size seems to be pretty much a Beagle possibly mix possibly pure - paws not too big and he's tiny for his age - so could be a true mutt but that makes him all the better - He has had vaccines and been neutered but adopters will have to complete final rounds and he has been microchipped and is neutered. Minimum donation required. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in South Salem NY - no exceptions.

He is house and crate trained he likes to sleep in his crate. He has great leash skills . Loves car rides! Matey is good in the home , loves playing with toys.
